754 out of SFO being delayed a couple of hours had me miss the connection to YHZ. This triggered the BMW service, which was nice and a nice gesture.

Actual effect was i got me like 45seconds more in the YYZ DOM MLL.

How did that work?

Every other instance has been domestic to international, but you're describing international to domestic.

I actually just suggested that to AC the other day. Seems to me that since so many USA-CAN flights are delayed, and now that OSS is mostly in place, this would be a very good use of the BMWs so that not so many flights are missed. Gotta be cheaper than the alternatives (e.g. hotel vouchers for SE).

The concierge escorted me on the walk from the end of the pier, though OSS, down to the waiting car beside the bus, drive through the short cut tunnel, and she walked with me to the MLL. Where I waited 2.5 hours for the next flight.

I'm guessing that what happened is that they got their wires crossed. Early afternoon I got the 1-hour delay notice (CX time down to 30 minutes - doable, but tight) so I put in an email to -YYZ for protection on the later flight. They took some notes for the morning shift. Later the delay extended out to 1:30, and the autorebooker and/or SFO concierge unloaded me from the 7:30, but didn't cancel the black car.

Just got limo'd.

Concierge Lisa was waiting for me when I deplaned from 431 inbound from YOW. I was in paid J (very rare) and was randomly selected according to her. There was another concierge waiting for another pax, but it might not have been random for him. In addition to the smooth ride and pleasant conversation, I was given a nice gift of a very tiny 2600 mAh battery pack for my phone complete with BMW logo. Quickest trip ever from domestic gate to the Int'l MLL. Thank you AC and BMW

This just happened to me on Friday. Concierge was waiting unexpectedly with a sign with my name when I got off of AC8538 (aka the a** end of the D gates), transiting to paid J AC880. Same nifty battery pack, and she escorted me all the way to the SS. Probably 3-5 minutes to get from the regional D gates to the SS, which sure was nice.

Weird part is I'm only E50K.

My unsubstantiated understanding is that the limo service is expanding to SS-eligible passengers.

It's a shame all my connections are from the US, so I never get one

I suppose that makes sense. She said "the computer randomly chose you", just like Seat13F_AC_CRJ said.

Clearly you should add an extra domestic connection or two. The Medicine Hat Dance?

Maybe random in the sense that after servicing all the VIPs, it "randomly" choose someone connecting domestic to international in paid J. But there are still definitely criteria.

If I weren't meeting my dad for a bit when I land today (so I need to leave the airport), I would have rerouted through YVR. I'll do that in two weeks if they can SDC my 016 codeshare.

1. This was always "random" before and never solely targeted S100Ks.
2. As per cow, now expanded for SS eligible customers.

The only thing I was ever "officially" (i.e. not front-line MOLA) told was that it was for VIPs, but they wouldn't let a car sit idle when there were people making en eligible connection.

But given the access requirements for the SS, along with the anecdotes in this thread, I think it seems pretty clear what the criteria are.

Was very pleasantly surprised. Greeted by a concierge upon arrival and we made our way downstairs to the vehicle. Maybe there wasn't many ppl travelling this time of the day!!

You're paid J on a domestic to international connection (which is the requirement for the car). There are a ton of people traveling, but there aren't a ton of people who meet the criteria for the car.
