HE WAS TOLD TO 'SIT DOWN' UNTIL THEY PASSED HIS ROW. WHEN HE CAME BACK FROM THE BATHROOM AGAIN THE SAME FLIGHT ATTENDENT SUMMONED HIM TO THE BACK OF THE PLANE UNTIL SHE WAS DONE. Seriously, the SD on this flight had the most remarkable work ethic and client service focus that I have seen in recent memory on AC. She was literally running around the cabin serving J pax, and reguarly referred to SE, E, MM and J rev pax by name throughout the flight. At one point, I said that she was "efficient", and she said that I was kind to say so, but that she thought that she could be doing better (?!)... this just goes to show that she far exceeded my expectations. If she were interested, she should be teaching client service to other SDs. No kidding.

Was check in quick and efficient? Upgrade cleared 96 hours before departure. Could not OLCI from my mobile phone in Paris. Seated in 3A

Did you use priority security (if eligible) and if so, was it quick and efficient? No priority security in CDG. Took about 5 minutes, very efficient.

Did you use the Maple Leaf lounge and if so, any feedback in regards to service, food and drinks? The new CDG MLL lounge is better now after the renovation. Better than it was but is still a very unpleasant basement. However, it offers one of the best selection of snacks I’ve seen in a MLL: delicious cheese, charcuteries, smoked salmon, shrimps & scallops. Good wines, obviously.

Was priority boarding offered (if applicable to your status) and efficient? Yes, but we were boarding at gate 41 where there isn’t much waiting space (we usually board in the satellite, where the MLL lounge is, much better). The priority boarding line was crowded with people just waiting. Not very efficient. Something should be done in order to fix this. Moreover, there is a second bridge going directly to the front J cabin but we weren’t allowed to use it.

Newspapers were offered on the ground but the selection was poor : not offering Le Monde or Liberation in Paris is a shame. How was the quality of all the meals? Uneven. The quality of the foie gras was not exactly what you would expect in executive class… seemed as those poor quality products that remained for too long in a can… Chicken fillet was delicious, though it was coming with instant rice… Wine choice was exactly the same as on the YUL-CDG flight I had taken a week earlier. Some variation would have appreciated. Snack before landing was great.

The chef de cabine was above all, exceptional. Always on top of everything, personalized touch, always trying to accomodate you. I was trying to change my SIM card in my Iphone and my pin wasn’t working… she just pass me her ear ring so I could do it

Being a SE and having flown many long haul TPAC & TATL on AC metal, this was one of the most enjoyable and memorable J flights I've taken. Special recognition needs to go to Maggie who was the FA serving the single J cabin aisle. I found Maggie to be efficient, dedicated to adhering the needs of J pax and had a smile at all times when serving as well as a good sense of humor which was refreshing. I had a small request on one of my meals and she gladly and happily facilitated it. At some point during the flight, she brought over a bag of chips, almonds, etc which was appreciated. Good work Maggie, keep it up and hope you get recognized for the exceptional service you offered on this flight ^ :)

Was priority boarding offered (if applicable to your status) and efficient? Most passengers had already boarded when we arrived at the gate 25 minutes before departure. We went to the priority boarding area and the one gate agent immediately attended to us. He advised me that the video wasn't working at my "suite" and offered to move me to another. I said I didn't mind and would prefer to keep my original seat next to my wife.

How was the quality of all the meals? Reasonably good. The chicken I had on a flight from YWG to YVR a few days earlier was better than the salmon I chose on this flight.

This was my first flight on a "77W" and I was impressed with the J-cabins. I would not have been pleased with the Y layout (3-3-3) which looked horribly cramped. The crew was excellent. Despite my non-status I was addressed by name by the FD.

Initial check in was fine; however, if it were at all possible, I think it would be great if there to be more options in terms of standby / change flight options on OLCI, i.e. not just the next two flights, but all of the options--not sure how difficult this would be, but giving the full range of options would reduce visits to the checkin / concierge staff

However, I showed up after they started loading the back of the plane. I stood in the empty priority line with bp and photo id in hand for a few minutes while the agent checked in about 15 - 20 pax through the economy line. :td: Finally, a passenger asked me if I wanted to go ahead of him and I agreed. (awkward) No acknowledgement that I had been standing there, no apology for essentially ignoring me--crappy as far as I'm concerned / it was very obvious I was ready to board.

My light did not work (I was sitting in 12D). I notified three different cabin attendants, none of whom were able to solve the problem, and none of whom came to check on me after attempting a reset. I was offered no compensation, although I could care less about some 5% off code that doesn't apply to half of the fare ('fuel surcharges', etc.). Even a portable light would have been nice, as I obviously couldn't read during the flight, and I couldn't sleep since I kept getting hit with the curtain separating Y and J every time a crew member stormed through.

Below average. The strawberry cheesecake didn't taste so good (tastes like Y food back in the day). Promised to find me some sort of alternative from Y but never did.

How was the quality of all the meals? Not bad. The chicken was a bit dry though

NOOOOOooooooo....... Please please please please please pressure GTAA to get their sh-- together at YYZ. :mad::mad::mad::mad:

I'm not sure what AC's schedule is like with arriving flights to YYZ at midnight, but our carousel had luggage from AC8 and a flight from Saskatoon. AC8 itself is enough to fill the carousel (luggage from HKG and YVR) ... couldn't the Saskatoon luggage be assigned a different carousel?

Also, as everyone says time and time again, YYZ never respects the priority tag. I waited probably for 10 minutes of non-priority luggage before mine came out. Totally unacceptable! Contrast this to YVR, where I had to claim luggage and re-check it in. My luggage was probably the 5th to come out.

Somebody really has to force YYZ to get their act together!

If there was a delay, did the gate agent provide timely updates? No delay. Wondered what weird security restriction prevents you sitting directly beside the gate . . .

Did crew offer a hot towel prior to the meal service? Yes. It was HOT.
Approximately how long after take off did it take for the first meal service to be completed? This was a snack flight so the banana bread took about 30 mins.
How was the quality of all the meals? Sparse but good enough.
Did the cabin crew continiously top up the beverage of your choice throughout the flight? No, but I didn't ask.

Enjoyed this short flight. It's so nice that my expectations for AC have been able to change from expecting to have a problem to expecting a pleasant experience.

Did you use the Maple Leaf lounge and if so, any feedback in regards to service, food and drinks? No lounge in DCA in Terminal A. Sigh.

Yes.

N/A no delay.

Were the crew professional & well groomed? Yes. An exceptionally personable but professional SD on this flight.

Was a pre-departure beverage offered on the ground? Yes.

Were newspapers & menus distributed and meal orders taken (Please specify when meal orders were taken - on the ground or in the air)? Yes, and only one choice for meals.
Did crew offer a hot towel prior to the meal service? Yes. And it was HOT again.

How was the quality of all the meals? I was surprised to receive a hot chicken fajita type thing on an ERJ. But it was very nice and I was VERY hungry. I could have eaten 6 of them, but J was full.
Did the cabin crew continiously top up the beverage of your choice throughout the flight? Yes, but I declined.

For once it took less than half an hour for the luggage to arrive. About 15 minutes which is a record for Pearson for me.

Overall experience/any other comments
Another really pleasant flight and the SD recognized me in the terminal and said hello which while not necessary was kind since she was off the clock. It's a good thing when someone still in uniform for AC acts like a representative of the company even if they don't have to as part of their job.
