But I'm getting tired of the pasta. I love the showers at these lounges. I really wish United offered lounges as nice as these. Great job AC!

Was priority boarding offered (if applicable to your status) and efficient? Yes. Actually, we were told to board too early. I was the first on board and accidentally interrupted the flight crew's pre-flight pep talk. I had to hold back passengers behind me until they were finished. So a little miscommunication between the gate agents and the crew, but I found it amusing.

Having flown this route before, it was nice to see some familiar faces in the flight crew. IMO Air Canada is improving on its quality and customer service. I really enjoyed this flight and the crew was very friendly. I am very grateful to have Air Canada as part of the Star Alliance. Air Canada is the reason why I have yet to fly United's business product even though I'm a United 1K elite.
I look forward to my return flight home. Thank you Air Canada!

I plan to use my red certs for upgrade for this trip PHX-YYC-YVR. If not for the free upgrade I would have flown US Airways non-stop PHX-YVR (=AC losing revenue). However, when I ask for upgrade at YVR MLL as I start the trip (within 4 day window) I was told this PHX-YYC is operated by UA metal therefore not eligible for upgrade. I am very upset as the flight is actually operated by AC. Now my 2 red certs become wall paper.

For the record, map function did not work (as expected)

Map function did not work (as expected). I like the seat pitch in CRJ705 which is actually a CRJ900.

Was check in quick and efficient? I used OLCI, but had some difficulty finding the correct Bag Drop Counter- originally, I went to the LX/Star Alliance desks at Check-in3 by the Railway Station (where you can use the Self Service Kiosks for AC). I then had to have my bag relabeled after it was originally checked through for a connecting Flight tomorrow.
Did you use priority security (if eligible) and if so, was it quick and efficient? There was no Priority Security, and the queues were shambolic, with just 7 Passport Desks open for all departing Passengers. At Security, however, I did get processed straight away after showing my status card.
Did you use the Maple Leaf lounge and if so, any feedback in regards to service, food and drinks? After Passport Control, I did not have time to stop by the Panorama Lounge
Was priority boarding offered (if applicable to your status) and efficient? The Flight wasn't particularly busy, so boarding was completed very quickly, anyway.
If there was a delay, did the gate agent provide timely updates? No delay, in fact, the Safety Video played while still siting at the Gate 10 Minutes (!) before scheduled departure, although we then waited a further 20 minutes for Cargo to be loaded before pushing back. The Captain actually came back into the Y Cabin to have a look out of the Window at the Freight loaders to establish what the delay was like.

If there was a delay, were you provided with timely updates? Captain explained the delay about Cargo
Was the IFE activated on the ground? no, just after lift off.
Approximately how long after take off did it take for the first meal service/Onboard cafe to begin? I received my meal (in Row 24) 25 minutes after takeoff, so it began maybe 3-5 minutes earlier.
How was the quality of the meal/Onboard cafe? I enjoyed both the Salmon with Butter Sauce as Lunch and the Chicken Fajitas pre-arrival.
Did the cabin crew offer water regularly throughout the flight? Yes, abslutely no complaints here.

As a *S, I got a priority tag, and my bag was already on the Carousel after I passed through Canadian immigration.
Overall experience/any other comments This was my first Flight on AC, so I've nothing else to compare it to, but I did enjoy the experience very much, those issues that I had were with ZRH and Swissport rather than AC.

Was check in quick and efficient? Yes, but the queue for the Baggage desk didn't seem particularly fast.
Did you use priority security (if eligible) and if so, was it quick and efficient? Without NEXUS, Pre-clearance took a fair while - 7 of the 30 Desks were open. Then Security took a bit longer. Hardly AC's fault, though.
Did you use the Maple Leaf lounge and if so, any feedback in regards to service, food and drinks? N/A
Was priority boarding offered (if applicable to your status) and efficient? N/A

Onboard - Y cabin:
Were the crew professional & well groomed? Yes
If there was a delay, were you provided with timely updates? We were on out takeoff roll on time, but we aborted Takeoff and remained sitting on the Runway with Airbrakes on for what seemed a minute, with just a quick announcement to 'remain seated'. We then left the Runway, and moved to a Taxiway where the Captain made an announcement that he'd heard a noise from the Nose gear that he wasn't happy with, and had elected to stop and take the Aircraft back for Maintenance to have a quick investigation. We taxi-ied back towards the Terminal, and a guy had a look. Captain came on again saying we'd received the all clear. We then departed again almost an hour after the original T/O roll, but didn't have a full brief from the Cockpit until approx. 40 minutes prior to landing (seemed they hadn't found anything, but the suspicion was we'd rolled over some cracked Ice).
Was the IFE activated on the ground? It was active at the gate originally, but then the Screens went dead at Pushback (Safety demo was done manually - is this normal for AC on narrowbodies?). Screens came back online before the original T/O roll, but IFE wasn't available again until we were being examined by the Engineer. So yes, it was active on the ground, and no, it (almost wasn't) active on the ground. I'd started wathing a Movie at the gate, and when the IFE reactivated, I had to sit through the pre-Movie Commercials again before I could fast forward the first 5 minutes to where I'd let off - not overly happy about that...
Approximately how long after take off did it take for the first meal service/Onboard cafe to begin? 10-15 minutes.
How was the quality of the meal/Onboard cafe? Decent enough.
Did the cabin crew offer water regularly throughout the flight? Just the once.

No, something was wrong with my PNR (no idea what happened there) and it somehow got split into two records with exactly the same flights. The check in agent fixed everything after about 10 minutes and processed my SSWU correctly, and I saw noted my PNR that the cert had been lifted in Toronto which I was quite pleased with. I was pleased the check in agent didn't need to call for help he was obviously quite experienced.

Yes, and Yes.

Yes, wish there were some extra breakfast offerings. Too much wheat :-)

Was a pre-departure beverage offered on the ground? The FA made me a mimosa by pouring the sparkling wine (not champagne yet ;)) into some OJ. Yum!

How was the quality of all the meals? Delightful. I had the chicken w/spinach & risotto. The risotto tasted a lot better than it looked.
Did the cabin crew continuously top up the beverage of your choice throughout the flight? I would say "frequently" not "continuously" (since that implies that they're topping me up literally after each sip ;)).

Did you use the Maple Leaf lounge and if so, any feedback in regards to service, food and drinks? Naturally! Service was efficient. I was hoping for the Thai Chicken Rice soup, but I'll settle for the chicken noodle. :) I <3 the Inniskillin Pinot Gris –.please keep that in the MLLs! (Heck, send some over to YYZ domestic MLL, too, as they're perpetually short of it.)

Approximately how long after take off did it take for the first meal service to be completed? (From takeoff to all items collected) Again, I was somewhat smashed off the delightful Drappier, so I'm afraid I can't help you here. ;)

How was the quality of all the meals?
I have to take a moment here to say, the smoked salmon appetizer is pretty much my favourite thing to eat in the air. If I could, I would just have about 4–5 of those during the flight, and that's all I would eat. As it was, the SD was very kind to find me an extra appetizer.
Aside from that, I had the stuffed cannelloni, which was fairly tasty.
I'm not a huge fan of the rocket? salads, but I know they're good for you, so I eat them anyways.
Breakfast was my favourite also, the omelette w/cottage cheese & sausage. Very tasty.

Did the cabin crew continuously top up the beverage of your choice throughout the flight? Frequently, yes.

Was the IFE activated on the ground? IIRC, yes. I did note that the Safety Demo was on Screen this time.
Approximately how long after take off did it take for the first meal service/Onboard cafe to begin? It was around 20 minutes.
How was the quality of the meal/Onboard cafe? I had the Pizza, quality was fine, only remark is that I ordered a Beer at the same time, but had already finished the Pizza by the time the drinks cart reached my seat to get the drink.
Did the cabin crew offer water regularly throughout the flight? Just the once.

Onboard - Y cabin:
Were the crew professional & well groomed? One of he F/As seemed a little surly during the Meal Service, but apart from that, fine.

Was the IFE activated on the ground? Yes, but twenty Minutes after takeoff (after i'd watched a decent portion of a Movie), the Purser made an announcement that some of the Screens weren't working, so he'd perform a reset of the System which should take about 5 Minutes. Screens went off, but didn't come back on for 35 (!) minutes. And again, having to sit through all the previews before I could fast forward to where I'd been previously - For a night flight, this was't ideal, as the Meal Service was almost over by then, and I ended up dozing off for the last 10 minutes or so.

How was the quality of the meal/Onboard cafe? I had the Chicken, can't say I particularly enjoyed it, but it wasn't the qualitity that was an issue, more the Mushroom sauce. Bananabread for breakfast, again, not exactly my favorite. (But as LH *S I had access to the LX Arrivals Lounge, so stocked up on Croissants there)
Did the cabin crew offer water regularly throughout the flight? I was asleep for a fair portion of the Flight, but did see at least 2 Water services being offered.

If you have checked baggage, did it arrive within reasonable period of time? Yes, my bags were one of the first ones on the Carousel, even without Priority labels.
Overall experience/any other comments No issues except the IFE needing reset, but we all know that Software has the occasional bug, so not something I blame AC for.
