Overall experience/any other comments SD informed me after serving the meal that the pie was a little cold and offered to reheat. Excellent service throughout, lots of deadheading crew in C but I was never forgotten as a revenue passenger. I plan to write in to commend the crew for their service. |

Y (once they started arriving - there was a delay due to lightning for the ground crew) Overall experience/any other comments: With regards to my "see below" comments above, this will explain everything. Arrived in YVR from YOW only to see that the 13:50 flight had been delayed to 14:50. Then, delayed again until 15:50, then revised down to 15:35 at 15:00. Apparently, the 777 arrived with a malfunctioning IFE and they had to replace something, which caused the delay. When they finally managed to start boarding the plan, which was at around 16:00, they boarded the back of the plane in sections. Those in J were asked to wait as they were still fixing our IFE. When everyone else was done boarding, they let us board too, only to find out that the IFE was not operational. The crew ended up having to do the security instructions the "old fashion way". They rebooted the system 4-5 times during the flight and it never worked. We ended up getting the blue "we're sorry" card. There was a guy near me who was pretty missed having missed his connection at HKG because they delayed the plane to fix the IFE when in fact they never got it fixed - essentially a few hours of wasted time for absolutely no reason. Let's hope the IFE on the 777 on the flight back next Thurdsday will work this time. |

I was lucky I could choose my main course as in 2 out of 4 dishes had things I’m allergic to. I had to skip the starter because, again, of allergy this time to smoked salmon. No replacement or solution proposed which is a shame as other airlines (BA) do in J class.The food was good but the presentation is really to be improved. The cheap plastic tray with the even cheaper blue napkin…. Did the cabin crew continiously top up the beverage of your choice throughout the flight? The crew, especially the CSD looked depressed and robotic. They don’t try to go the extra mile. They did not seem to enjoy their job. The amenity kit: a shocking grey tissue like paper pouch was distributed out of a transparent trash bag…. That was the “day time flight” amenity kit. How low can an airline go to dare handle such a cheap stuff that other airlines have in economy… |

In YYZ the MLL was packed and ended up to be a hot mess with empty plates everywhere, food on the floor, no napkins. The cleaning staff was veeeery slow to clean the place. Not the best place to relax. At LGA the United club is a sad depressing place to spend time Was priority boarding offered (if applicable to your status) and efficient? I had to skip the starter because, again, of allergy to smoked salmon. I connected in ZRH to FCO. A FCO my baggage was one of the first on the belt! Unbelievable! Overall experience/any other comments I slept very well for 5 hours but, again, the meal presentation was awful. The fish looked soggy and the breakfast was bad. I can’t say there’s room for improvement: there’s an universe for improvement!! The crew, was really senior. The CSD refused to answer me in French even though he speaks French. He was ice cold. The service was rushed and a bit messy too. That was my first AC long haul experience. I will certainly flight AC again but now I know I should not expect a lot. |

I had only carryon Overall experience/any other comments Being a SE and having flown many long haul TPAC & TATL on AC metal, this was one of the most enjoyable and memorable J flights I've taken. Special recognition needs to go to Maggie who was the FA serving the single J cabin aisle. I found Maggie to be efficient, dedicated to adhering the needs of J pax and had a smile at all times when serving as well as a good sense of humor which was refreshing. I had a small request on one of my meals and she gladly and happily facilitated it. At some point during the flight, she brought over a bag of chips, almonds, etc which was appreciated. Good work Maggie, keep it up and hope you get recognized for the exceptional service you offered on this flight ^ :) |

I was flying on an SN codeshare operated by AC and didn't know that we can only ask of an u/g in person at the airport at check-in... MLL Int'l at YUL is always overcrowded in late afternoon / early evening. Tap beer was warm :rolleyes: and bathroom very dirty. This is not the first time I notice that MLL bathrooms are neglected and far from being clean... If there was a delay, did the gate agent provide timely updates? No delay. Gate agent called me one minute before boarding to give me my J seat! Onboard - J cabin: Were the crew professional & well groomed? Yes. The YUL-BRU not as senior as YUL-CDG. Got a truly exceptionnal service on this flight. Took the express menu and the flight attendant was really dedicated to serve me in priority in order to maximize my sleep, very appreciated! And they kept the duty free boutique open until I woke up in the morning so I could buy my cigarettes... Was the IFE activated on the ground? Yes Was a pre-departure beverage offered on the ground? The cheese plate could also be improved in my opinion... Breakfast was ok. Did the cabin crew continiously top up the beverage of your choice throughout the flight? Sorry, no time to answer each and every survey question, so just posting what I typed while on the flight:
Never thought I'd actually post here anytime soon, but here we go: May 15, 2012 AC149 YYZ YVR in J SD nor any other FA asked anyone to see their BP upon boarding No pre-flight H2O or OJ offered to anyone No pre-dinner drinks or nuts offered to anyone None of the towels were taken away so we all ended up putting them on the finished appetizer plates to soak up all of the balsamic vinagrette dressing No taking orders by status. No tablecloths I was skipped being asked for drinks as the appetizers were given yet everyone else was served drinks - so I had to summon the in-charge to ask for drinks. (I was wide awake - my eyes were wide open in case someone says "maybe you were asleep.. maybe you were X maybe you were Y maybe you were Z maybe you were AA maybe you were BB...") Cookies burnt and brittle (not "falling off the bone" soft) All-in-all, really weird and sub-par service. If you're curious, not once did I make a comment. I just let it be. Of course, there's always a reason. AC149 was 45 minutes late. I guess that's the "out" or "excuse". Lucky I'm on a $5002 per month Latitude flight pass, directly from my own pocket and not paying a la carte or using eUpgrades for this flight! I'll make it up for the next 100 flights I have booked on this lovely pass in the next 2.5 months! Good thing the pass T-48 hours allows J to J and not J to B to J! I have been finding that narrow body service is sorely lacking lately? This is the fifth flight in a row on a narrow body that many service items have not been executed as per usual! I have found that the wide body domestic service has been much more consistent and above par. Let's see if you can beat them apples! |

Used the FRA senator lounge...very nice. But it got crowded mid morning. There was priority boarding which i used. Onboard - J cabin: Older crowd, but a really good team head. J cabin was full, actually the whole plane was full. I was woken up what would probably have been around 4am YVR time by two FA in the galley talking loudly for the time of night that it was . Then not even 45 mins later after falling asleep again was woken up again by FA talking full volume to another passenger who was not sleeping. It was very annoying and I wasn't the only one that was woken up by this. |
