Looks like the lobster mac and cheese has been enhanced.

I don't think I've ever had mac and cheese with chicken in it...

Sad if there is no more lobster mac and cheese. Unequivocally the best entree I've had on a domestic F flight. Would be nice if it showed up on p.s. once in a while...don't think I have ever seen it there.

Hawaiian music playing on boarding.
Crew were very friendly throughout the flight and available regularly in the cabin.

I would like someone to validate for me, whether or not we were mis-catered though.

Lunch options - Lobster Mac & Cheese (it lives on!) or Tandoori Chicken.
Served on a tray with a small Arugula salad with golden raisins and balsamic vinaigrette dressing.
Chocolate Chip cookie for dessert.

This is a flight of over 7 hours. The way I read United.com we should have had three entree choices and sorbet for dessert. I tried tweeting United via Direct Message and had this insane back and forth where they insisted I was wrong and I was expecting Polaris International Business service which I wasn't - and they kept referring me to united.com's page on in flight meal service.

Should we have had three entrees and sorbet?

Yes, but somehow United downgrades the entire experience and uses double-catering as an excuse.

Quote the website back to them and demand a response:

5 hrs. 20 min. or longer
(Transcontinental and Hawaii flights to/from Los Angeles, San Francisco and Denver)

Scheduled departure time: 5 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Meal service details: Multi-course meals with three entree choices

I had it with chicken as long ago as Feb 26 LAX-IAH (see post 113). Sadly I don't think I've ever got it with lobster.

Fortunately I think they're different meals and the lobster mac is alive and well.

Also, the Chicken Mac & Cheese is pretty tasty as well. I had it on MIA-EWR a few days ago, the FA said there are three variants, Lobster, Chicken and Pork/Short Rib the latter two being new additions the in 2017.

I do prefer the Lobster Mac, but the Chicken with the macaroni tastes pretty good!

So on some flights, the meal choice could be mac and lobster or mac and chicken? Or on the longest domestic flights, you could have mac and lobster, mac and chicken or mac and pork/short rib? I wonder if we'll ever see that?

EWR-SAT

Boeing 737-900
Meal: Dinner

Choice of beef or shrimp. I chose shrimp--it was good, spicy and tasty.

Dessert was vanilla ice cream with whipped cream & chocolate syrup (I just took it plain).

Anything that is not a transcon/Hawaii/PS can have the option of either mac and lobster or chicken with buffalo mac. Those meal markets are broken down between short/medium/mid-con/long-haul. There a 5 cycles and each airport is in a zone that alternates cycles.

I've only ever encountered the mac and lobster but it was pretty good.

FLL-IAD Dinner Flight

It seems two new napkins have been introduced recently - Paris and New York. Sydney, Hawaii, London and SFO were the ones in circulation since the introduction of Polaris.

Also, my first time in the new F seat on the A320.

Noticed the new napkins as well on my LAX-LHR flight last week.

What version of mac and cheese was that? Kinda looked like +pork.

Also, how was the "F" seat? (In terms of comfort, not taste )

That was chicken with the Mac/Cheese/

In terms of the F seats, they see wider, and have storage place around the electric socket areas between the two seats. A ipad holder the tray table is a nice touch. Overall the quality of finish was good.

I did not like the way the seat cushion moving forward instead of seat back moving backward, but I guess it takes awhile to get used to it.
