Thankfully all four bags made it onto the connecting flight. I even managed a quick visit to the lounge during my 40 minute layover.

Hi,
Would
UA 106 IAD -> MUC 07:50
A3433 (Aegean) MUC -> HER 09:25
be a reasonable connection or too tight?
We'd buy as separate flights rather than both via UAL or Lufthansa.
There will be 2 adults, economy class. Both dual EU/USA citizens.
We will just have hand luggage on the UA flight, but perhaps it will be too large
for Aegean hand luggage?
Thanks!

On a through ticket: no problem. On separate tickets: great risk of misconnecting. Any delay on the transatlantic leg or even a long line at immigration would endanger your connection. The risk of the hand luggage being to large for Aegean is the least of your problems. If you reach the gate in time and the carry-on is deemed to big, you will just have to gate check it.

I would not risk this connection on separate tickets, especially to a destination with only one flight on most days (and if you are on one of the two-flight-days, go for the later flight at 14.20!)

Hi everyone!

I just booked BSL-FRA-DUB-MUC-BSL and it will be my first time in MUC. I have a 1hr5min connection and I wanted to know if I could have time to drink a beer in the SEN lounge?

Thanks!

Arriving from DUB you will have to clear passport control but there should be no need for security. If your flight is on time you should have time for a quick beer in the Schengen SEN lounge.

I will be arriving in MUC from FRA (in Y) on LH and have a 90 minute layover before departing to the USA on United (in J). Should that be doable?

Thanks. I can either have a 2 hour connection in FRA (coming from KWI) and the 1.5 hour in MUC or a 1.5 hour in FRA and 2 hours in MUC. I figure I am more likely to need the extra time in FRA than MUC.

Connecting from AC to LH to TLV

Has anyone connected to TLV?
The check in for LH TLV flights is done in terminal F and then the passengers are bussed to the main terminal. What is the process for connecting passengers?

As a connecting passenger you head towards the dedicated TLV gate....

Please check if you're allowed into the Schengen area with your nationality.

Quite some Indians apparently book those "cheap" India-MUC-FRA-North America connections and get burned on missing a Schengen Visa.

Your FRA-MUC flight (or vice versa) is a domestic flight, ie you need to pass immigration onto/out of Schengen area to do it.

If you're holding a US-American passport you're fine to do it for the moment, but the EU is thinking of tightening up the rules.

Why would the EU plan to restrict the entry of US passport holders into the EU just because they enter the EU only to take an intra-Schengen flight?
