And that T&C was just a figment of someone's imagination.....
GP promo's really are a mess these days... promotions where the last day doesn't count, and then does. And now this.

Question

Just a question regarding this promo,

My friend has a Chase Hyatt card and the Platinum status that comes with it. I have Hyatt Diamond status. I have heard of the "Guest of Honour" promotion as well..

My question is that I want to book some nights for myself (I have diamond) but want to buy some points to book these (cash + points) and also take advantage of the 10% back promo that you have linked to.. What is the best way of doing this to ensure I also get the Diamond benefits? Is this even possible?

I am a newbie to Hyatt so don't know too much about how the program works. If I ask my friend to buy the points and book for me so we can take advantage of the 10% promo, will I get the Diamond benefits as the booking will be using his account?

Thanks for any responses!

Get the card yourself. If your friend books for you, there's no guarantee you'll get the Diamond benefits, but you might by showing your card at check-in.

Japan and Guam only, but, all searched dates with the Code GP676 in the search box show the rate is not available.
There are standard rates available, so does it literally mean, "pay the Standard Rate and quote the Offer Code GP676."

Just received a 30% bonus on purchase of points in the e-mail. This may be targeted towards Chase Hyatt card owners

Not targeted at card owners. I received it also and am not a Hyatt Chase cardholder.

Is the current 10% points back promo with Hyatt visa good for bookings made through Hyatt for M life properties in Vegas? And if so, do I need to book with my hyatt visa?

2000 bonus points for reservations made at Andaz Ottawa by Nov 30, for stays Sep1 - Dec 31. Does not work in conjunction with double points booking, so those mistake suite fares are out. Read terms for further info: https://ottawa.andaz.hyatt.com/en/hotel/offers.html

Should anyone be interested:
Convert your Hyatt Gold Passport® points to American Airlines AAdvantage® miles and earn 25% more miles from September 15 - October 14, 2016.

Plus, if you convert 50,000 points in one transaction, Hyatt will add a 5,000 mile bonus in addition to the 25% promotional offer.

This must have been mentioned before, but Hyatt is again selling points with a bonus.

30% on 5000 or more.

40% on 10000 or more.

I don't think it's targeted. Just login to purchase points.

I've just decided to buy 10k whenever they do this since the points seem to still have a real value compared to other brands.

Is it just me, or is the Hyatt web site hard to navigate. Probably just me. Anyhow. Login. Click Rewards, and then click purchase.
