yep, I too thought they were still flying it at least until not that long ago.

I guess Air Chance have been the only option recently.

Easy Jet launch TLV-CDG

Flight which are now available to book, will commence March 30th Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday.

http://www.globes.co.il/en/article-e...hts-1000993822

Edited to add: Timings not that great with a rather late departure from TLV at 19:15 bringing you into CDG at 23:15, so well after midnight by the time you can get to your hotel.
Then the return leaves at 12:20 arriving TLV at 18:15 so you don't really get much of a morning in Paris, nor much left of the day in TLV.

Also, prices are now nowhere near the published starting one way price of €45.99 one way despite them loading the fares just yesterday...

See below the cheapest prices now found.

Tel Aviv to Paris Charles de Gaulle
Cheapest one way fare found in the month:

April €120.49
May €105.49
June €124.49
July€ 93.49
August €124.49
September €80.49
October €80.49

Paris Charles de Gaulle to Tel Aviv
Cheapest one way fare fare found in the month:

April €144.86
May €116.86
June €88.86
July €102.86
August €105.86
September €74.86
October €95.86

I saw an article the other day saying Finnair was going to launch service to Eilat in winter 2015.

A not atypical winter schedule for various low cost and charter airlines, they often add Eilat to the roster. Can't say these flights are of much use to me though even if they are flying from destinations I want to get to because I will not go to Eilat to catch a flight.

If they really wanted to cater to Israelis they'd run them Sunday Tuesday and Thursday. Don't understand why they'd schedule Monday weds and sat.

At least happy it's to CDG and not to ORY or worse, fake Paris (a la Ryanair)

What's wrong with ORY?

I like ORY but CDG is better for both air and rail connections.

I don't like the airport setup itself (find it small and cramped) but anyways find CDG easier to navigate especially for connections into the city.

Also, side point, and less relevant specifically for U2, but IIRC, you don't clear immigration when connecting non-Schengen to non-Schengen in CDG but do in ORY. Also, ORY is confusing as they sometimes check your bag through and sometimes don't. Plus, the passport lines are always long in ORY.

You forgot ORYs main advantage - it looks and feels exactly the same as it did in the movie "Rabbi Jacobs Mad Adventures" and hasnt changed at all in some of the terminals, its like departing from a museum

I don't know if it's on behalf of Finnair, but the flight is operated by Primera Air, from HEL-VDA. Flights are on Thursdays, starting February 12 going through March.
