Germania Airlines coming to Israel

Germania Airlines will start flying to TLV from Hamburg and Karlsruhe:

(Hebrew). Three weekly flights are planned (two to HAM, one to FKB), with fares starting at 99 euro.
Flights to start on March 2nd, 2015.

Air Europa (Sky Team) to start MAD-TLV

UX will commence flights between MAD-TLV starting March 15th.

Flights will operate 3 times a week using a B738, on Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday.

Schedule:

UX1301 MAD0840 – 1430TLV
UX1302 TLV1610 – 2045MAD

The other theory out there - El Als lobby aka the Israeli embassy and the Ministry of Tourism put some serious pressure on the French authorities not to allow EZY on this route... Don't know if it's true, so take it with a grain of salt, but there are people out there who, to this day, will swear it happened.

Katz seems bent on helping Israeli companies. BUT, many actions by the MOT have been consumer-friendly, and not specific to Israeli companies.
So it would seem potentially unlikely that Israel would lobby against U2

U2 is being attracted to Eilat ToI reports from Ha'aretz. The article also mentions the PAR route.

Just saw a post in Facebook from the Israeli American Council-Boston that LY will have tlv-Bos starting this summer. Anyone know more? Just a summer thing? I for one am excited at the prospect!!

Dont have more info...but the move is maybe because of the new agreement with B6? to offer connections from BOS...
