Will YYC-YYZ be daily in summer? I know DUB and CDG are three and four times a week, respectively.

The domestic flights are only temporary, to satisfy Transport CAnada requirements. The Dreamliners will be put into European service.

That is what I thought, but did some digging and found they will continue 787 service between YYC and YYZ all throughout the summer, in-between CDG and DUB service.

They are not temporary - WS has extended service throughout summer, one round trip YYC-YYZ daily.

I wonder if they’re going to use the 787’s going to/from BCN? Booked summer flights last week for YOW-BCN via YYZ RT.

No. 767s. These are moving to be YYZ based.

It appears so when I look on Westjet.com at random 7 day blocks throughout the summer.

Sigh! Westjet, as a top tier member and loyal customer, I should be able to use my companion vouchers for Business fares on the shiny new 787's ANYTIME, not just a limited, one-time offer between Toronto and Calgary! Colour me a bit disappointed!

Sorry if discussed upthread, but does WS have to hire new pilots for these new birds? Did it train its own?
I like the spirit of Canada finish.

Their own existing pilots are being trained.
