I can't imagine they would have waited until this weekend to get those 'new' accounts generated and assigned -

As a data point, it is reassuring to hear than someone else without a AS but with a VX account has not yet received a "here's your new AS account" email.

Nobody has. Those emails are supposedly being sent out today. I manage 5 VX accounts for family members (none of which have an AS account) and nobody has received the email yet.

Any change like this will inevitably generate calls to CS.

For those who have not created an AS account, here is a link with achoice to get either a $100 discount coupon or 10,000 AS miles for VX members.

Yes but you need to wait until AS sends you an email with your auto generated account. Those are suppose to be coming today at some point.

I have good news for everyone (I think). Alaska got back to me on Twitter and told me the 10k was queued up for my account, just hasn't been processed yet but should be by the end of the day.

Thanks, hiima. Just transferred some. Got an email from AAMP...

"Hello [ps9a],
Your request to convert your Elevate points into Mileage Plan miles is in progress and will be available soon. "

Currently, no miles have been deducted from my Elevate account, and nothing has credited to my Mileage Plan. Will update when they actually post.

Update: and they're in my account now. Got an email confirmation. 7 minutes total.

I transferred 68,950 VX into 89,635 AS. Hopefully, that helps.

Yes-- I left most of my points in the VX program.
