UA 877 12/7 LAX-PVG swapped to old 777
United cargo posted the swap the day before. Y seemed to be massively oversold as both C & Y buckets were 0 several days out. There were quite a few Y->C op-ups, but apparently the flight was catered for new C as an announcement was made that some of the folks upgraded might have to take the economy meals as there weren't enough C meals to go around.

Flying C cabin ORD-MUC (UA 906) on 15 December and MUC-IAD (UA 903) on 19 January. Seat maps are showing new config 777 for both. Is this sufficiently reliable at this point to change assigned seats (selected in old config) based on actually flying new config? And what is collective opinion on bulkhead seats in business (Row 6)?
In any event, no more desirable seats than the ones I've already got (8A-C) left to change into.

Well, one week out and both United.bomb and United Cargo are showing new config 77D. But I get the impression from previous posts not to rely on this until I'm actually sitting in the new seats. . .

Not according to the FlyerGuide wiki: http://flyerguide.com/wiki/index.php...nversions_(UA). 77D is the new configuration of a B777-200 (pre-conversion: 77C).

Anyone know whether the flight from SFO-NRT will be the new config by Mar/Apr 2012? Looking to book a flight in the next few days, but want to make sure it's the new seat config for business class.

Take the 747 instead. While all the 777 XQ's _should_ be done by then, the XI's are highly unlikely (none of them have been re-configured yet) and they sometimes run that route.

hm, I checked this morning for an upcoming flight of N775UA (IAD -> BRU at 5:49PM) on the united iphone app. The seatmap showed a new configuration and also nose number 2475.
