https://sites.google.com/site/theunitedairlinesfleet/ (I created this site)
Also the United Airlines fleet update thread are good sources.
This site I created goes over the UA fleet info. The first 763 2 class is in Hong kong for the
modification. Sounds like that it is the newly configured bird.

I know they have used the PMUA 752 seasonally on DEN-OGG, so DEN-HNL is almost identical (+100 miles). Seasonally it's been 752 and 763.
Jose, what have you heard about sfo-ogg?
The 738s don't have the capacity to replace all the 763s, the 753s, unfortunately, do.

The seat map for my trip shows the newly configured 763 as: BF rows 1-6, E+ is row 16-22 (with 21 and 22 exit rows) and E- (23-42). No galley and toilets in the middle of the aircraft, like the Ghetto Bird has.

The 753 is basically going to be the Hawai'i shuttle - especially to HNL and OGG - and that is smart. Its an ideal market for the bird. An extra row of F would be nice, however. As will PMUA FAs.

Thanks for this thread. Looks like we're getting a look at the configuration of the updated "ghetto" birds from PMUA.
It also appears that N674UA is still in HKG for the repairs.

I started a thread on this same topic a few days ago concerning my flight from ORD-AMS, it seems when I booked it was the old 3-class configuration and now it has been switched to the 2 class Ghetto re-config. My flight is in May. Apparently the ORD-AMS route will be the first with this configuration.
The thing I cannot figure out is: there is currently only one of these birds being reconfigured. There has also been talk of putting this same bird on the IAD-CDG route, but this would require a second reconfigured plane. There is currently no additional planes in the shop.
I think the re-configuration will be nice, as it will go from 2-2-2 to 2-1-2 in Business. I always liked the CO configuration on the 764's and with lie-flat it should be nice.
AMS is not a premium market. Even KLM wrestles to fill their C class birds on some routes.

Hey, can a fully loaded 757-200 take off from DEN or will it be weight-limited? I know DEN has long runways and the 752 is overpowered, so perhaps so. DEN-HNL is a bit shorter of a flight than some of the transatlantic routes that gave the 752 trouble this past winter so perhaps I'm worrying about nothing.

So should we start calling the refurbished Ghetto birds "Gentrified"?

Emphasis mine. The only difference is that TATL flights can divert to a lot of places along the route - no so much the HI flights. If there is any chance of the range becoming a problem I would do everything possible to avoid flying on such an aircraft from DEN to the point of not boarding the plane if there is a last minute switch (and I am NOT afraid of flying at all).
I think Flight Ops schedules the fuel stop based on some linear programming - that or darts.

767-300 International GlobalFirst removed?
Looks like this has started already - AFAIK there wasn't a CO 767-300 with lie-flats, so this seems like it's a UAL plane. This is on UA908 from ORD-AMS:
6/7/2012 reservation:
Yesterday's (5/25/2012) flight 908:
What I find interesting is the spacing of the seats seems off; shouldn't it be 2-2-2 on that frame?
6/7/2012 reservation:
