Since it is not mentioned above, is it safe to assume that UA is unlikely to take delivery of any A321XLRs this year? Same question goes for the MAX 10.

Max 10s yes, they are dependent on certification which could come in Q1 this year.

MAX10 will not be certified until the end of 2024 is the latest timeframe with service in 2025.

MAX7 is scheduled for certification first.

For what it's worth, Flight Aware has the following 39Ms sked to re-enter service on 1/10 and 1/11. 40 of 79 units. All aircraft fleet numbers start with 75.
10/11/12/13/15/18/19/23/24/26/30/31/32/33/35/37/39/42/47/48/50/52/54/55/56/58/60/61/62/63/64/65/68/71/72/73/76/77/78/79
Like previous days, one would expect further cancellations until the FAA is satisfied with the inspection process.

You say “flying units.” I understand that the B752 that was damaged during a Newark landing was one of the 41 Continental B752s; it’s not coming back. Is there another one out of service?

Great news! I don’t start traveling again until the 16th, so there’s a growing chance that this MAX issue will be solved—I hope permanently—by then.

That 752 (N26123) was a fleet exit 5 years ago after a hard landing in EWR.
Right now there are 40 of which 38 have the new seats installed. #3121 has not returned to service after pandemic storage - in ILN for maint.

#3121 and #3130 will have the new seats when returned to service. So, all 38 aircraft except the 2 in Mod are complete, including #3120, which is in regular maintenance.
