Not sure what kind of work they did but N209UA was ferried from FCO to EWR yesterday as flight UA3925 and now it is back to doing revenue flights.

Finally flew on my first NEXT 739, from my perspective, its a great cabin all around:
- Space Bins are a huge plus
- Love the new IFE UI
- Cabin looks very sleek

Although I'm still very iffy about United's decision to maintain the current first class seats. I like them, but I much prefer the new ones, especially for standardization and uniformity amongst the fleet

I think the plan was to retrofit new seats to the 739, but supplier delays and acquistion of whitetail 7M8s led to the decision to refurb the existing F seats to ensure new deliveries received seats and original CO 738 Koito seats would be replaced.

I haven't been on a NEXT-ified 739 yet but I really hope they replaced (or at least repaired) the traytables in F.

Ive seen pics of the ones in MZJ, N408UA, N409UA, N410UA They were taped up and engines still in place.

The first 7 went to Tupelo and were immediately parted.

I dont think its a coincidence theyre now sending them for long term storage and not immediate disposal. Maybe hedging their bets on further 737 delays. They can obviously part them out at MZJ later if they wanted.

I was on a 739 a couple weeks ago from IAH to DEN. There was what felt like a 3 inch metal bar that ran vertically down the middle of the seat (1B). I could not find a comfortable place to sit that the bar was not pressing against my back. It was almost like the padding was completely gone from the seat only leaving the supporting frame. Definitely not very comfortable and I was glad I was not on a longer flight like west coast to HNL.

Future United A321neos:
Airbus MSN 11901 took its first test flight out of Mobile, Alabama on 4/11 under test tail
F-WZMD. Most sites I'm following indicate this frame will be N14509, Although Aviation flights has it pegged an N24513, but see below.
https://aviation.flights/aib/A320/11901
https://xfw-spotter.blogspot.com/search?q=11901

Meanwhile in Hamburg MSN 11850 rolled out for taxi check and RTO on the 26th. Its test tail is D-AZWZ. We might see its first test flight next week some time:
https://aviation.flights/aib/A320/11850
https://xfw-spotter.blogspot.com/search?q=11850
All the sites I follow have this one pegged as N24513. Note Aviation Flights has both MSN 11901 and 11850 as N24513

738 Paint:
N26210 exited AMA 3889/28Apr in either updated Star or EvoBlu livery
N17244 sked to enter AMA 3890/29Apr for EvoBlu livery

739 NEXT
N39463 confirmed via Flight Status to have NEXT configuration/amenities

Regarding N numbers, I'm wondering how much has to be done or paid to clear an entire set of N numbers in order that end in UA?
