UA180 HKG-EWR 12Jul sCO 772 showing 10+ hour late departure, using the inbound bird from UA179 EWR-HKG 11Jul. UA179 10Jul arrived as scheduled but it must have gone MX.
Meanwhile, UA896 HKG-ORD sUA 772 (which I'm on) was showing F6 ON6 a few hours ago, with a good set of NRSAs who were set to fly in style. I was expecting to be one of the two revenue pax with six NRSAs. Now it looks like UA180's status/premium pax were moved to UA896 and stuffed into F and the few open J seats. Looks like the NRSAs will have to wait for the late 180, but will likely get J as many of the revenue pax were moved to 896.

The captain made a heavy landing so as to get the paramedics on asap. Then as well as maintenance giving the plane the once over, (for some reason) the aircraft needed to be re-catered, and that pushed the flight attendants out of hours. I was surprised to see so many people (incl J pax) lining up at the customer services desks rather than calling.or using the app.
