Any information on N76504? It had flap damage in SAL from what I could gather, then positioned back to IAH on Jan 4 and has been out of service since. Curious to know what the damage actually was, and how extensive as it's been down for so long.

Now it's a matter of developing a combined crew scheduling platform, which is predicted to take until October at the earliest.

I was at the airport on 30 Dec and there was a new globe tail hanging out at the end of the line....3-4 weeks is typical before they head out from there

N784UA sked to exit HKG 2821/13Jan - 74 days in HKG - Actually, there is a test hop sked for N784UA 2690/12Jan, but doubt it would be so close to exit with an STC. to allow Polaris reconfiguration
N220UA sked to exit XMN 2800/12Jan
N221UA sked to enter XMN 2801/12Jan

Flew on one of these air Whiskey beauts the other day. It has been years since I've been on one and Devil Chariot fits it perfectly! The one I flew on (N455AW) seemed to have fairly new seat covers, new UA bulkheads and new carpet installed but they are beyond uncomfortable. Unfortunately I'm on another one next week but luckily it's only a 45 min flight, so I think I will be able to manage. I will be doing my best to avoid them on anything over 45 minutes if possible.

Looks like those are 739 aircraft. If I had to speculate, they are 737-900ERs, and the "E" got picked up -- it being the fifth letter -- and converted to a "5." Just a hunch.

Reportedly the first 772 Polaris mod (STC bird). We'll find out for sure in 10-12 weeks, I guess!

I wonder how many 772 mod lines the company is planning? The 777 project is larger in scope (more frames) than the 767, so there will need to be multiple lines if the company intends to have the program completed within 2-3 years.

It would take 22 months to convert 33 sUA 3 class 772ERs with 3 mod lines and an average 60 day conversion time. Mod lines could be reduced for peak summer, thus increasing total time to complete the fleet. Then there's the sCO fleet and does anyone know if the Polaris configuration is closer to the current sUA or sCO configurations.

Once the 772A mods got going, they were averaging about 45 days - the question is how much structural work has to be done to relocate lavs/galleys. It seems like the 763ER Polaris mods are taking longer, but there is a lot going on to improve reliability.
