I'm scheduled June 12 for SFO-NRT - as of right now no change in the plane or seat map but the time of the flight has changed by 20 minutes - crossing my fingers the seat map changes today so I can jump on and get seats that I want (traveling with two others as well on a connected reservation).

Sort of off topic but I'm glad that I chose this routing to ICN especially due to aircraft change. My parents wanted to fly out and visit me and have never really been overseas before so I'll be flying over to pick them up and bring them back with me. Polaris will be great with the added benefit of sushi next to gate 33!

Edit: My parents are flying NRT-LAX June 23 and it's confirmed on the 77W. They must be adding that route as well? I really hope they also change SFO-NRT because I really wanted to try out Polaris....................

Edit again: I'm going to check back later because when I go into look at their reservation it's now back to a 787-9, but for about 20 minutes it was saying 777-300ER. I promise! I think tonight is when they're updating schedules.

Probably the UA site on a Sunday/weekend i.e. The same time when you see turbo props on TATL flights.

Agreed. I can't replicate what I was seeing yesterday, and everything is back to normal.

I'm flying from SFO-EWR on 6/8, and noticed there's a 777 at 8:10 AM. Is this likely to hold? Also, I'm connecting in from SYD which lands at around 7:00 AM. I've never done customs in SFO, if everything is on time, will I be okay with global entry to make this connection?

I don't think they would tweak the schedule much more this close in to flight date - pretty safe to it is probably safe. I can't speak to clearing customs in SFO (haven't done so in almost 5 years), but Global Entry generally means you can speed through quickly, in my experience.

Bags? PreCheck?

You could do it (that is with no checked bags and PC) but I personally wouldn't just to fly the 777 TCON. Then again if you miss the flight there are the 9:30, 10, 10:55 flights.

That's not a legal connection.

So I am relatively new to FT (well have had an account for years but not been active until recently), so please pardon my ignorance but why has the Wiki been updated to state that SFO-NRT is confirmed as a 77W route vs saying rumored as it has been?

I know the member who has said it has a good history but I personally don't think that the wiki should be updated without an official statement from UA, a tentative decision could have been made internally but there could be reasons why UA hasn't released this publicaly yet and I would say there is a good possibility that it could be pushed with UA putting some 77Ws info storage this week due to seat deliveries. Just my 2c

It's not a legal connection... but the SYD flight tends to get in early and as long as its ontime or early you would make the connection

(my personal average is 27min from plane landing to at connecting gate)

Yeah SFO immigration isn't too bad, especially with Global Entry. The only time I've waited more than say, 15 minutes was during Christmas.

How long until that happens? Shouldn't that be soon?

Company plans March 2018 for all 3 sides (sub CO, sub CMI, sub UA) to be on the same system.

A year? What are they doing, using a Commodore 64 computer to work it out?
