Depends what market share you're after, and how competitive your product is. The competition runs 74H.

They previously ran through year end, and were moved up to October recently. Writing is on the wall.

UA had only said Q4, never mentioned year end previously or October recently, October 28 and 29 is only about what are the last dates for those 744 routes operating, I can bet UA will have some domestic runs being it officially retired, it is just way too early for them to let us know the details.

You mean KE? OZ runs a 772.

One of the consistently cheaper TPACs out there in J due to competition between those two.

Given the premium market, I wouldn't be surprised to see a 77W on SFO-LHR.

Not a whole lot that is "premium" about a 2-cabin plane with a tight 60-seat J cabin...

SFO-LHR....

Your choices are BA with first class that's not much roomier than Polaris for a much higher price, or biz class that's more tight than Polaris with many more than 60 seats.

VS...with fewer seats but with an almost 15 year old base that can't even go into flat mode without getting up from the seat.

As much as I like 747s seems like it's quite competitive for SFO-LHR.

Sure. I was just speculating on where the 77Ws may go. NRT makes sense from the JV perspective.

If it is one for one swap from 747 to 77W, PEK, NRT, PVG, ICN, HKG, TPE and FRA will pretty much use all 14 of them. I do note TPE and PVG may be downsized to 787/777. Based on my experience fly to PEK and NRT in the last five years, the 747s have been pretty full.
PVG will probably not get a 77W, because it went from 1x 747 to 2x 787, showing that if they fly 2x daily, they need smaller planes.

I saw a picture of N2332U. Is that the first or second 777W that united is getting? From what I've found, there's N2331 and now N2332. N2333 is still with Boeing. Is there a place where this kind of stuff can be tracked?

Sorry if this is the wrong place for this!

I see this beginning Feb. 26 . . . 8:30 a.m. SFO departure, 6:10 pm departure EWR. Much better timed than the initial flights.

Just saw The Points Guy's Instagram Story and he mentioned that EWR-TLV will get the 77W.
