I see 84/85 in the wikipost, but Jose only shared 90/91 will transition to 77w.

Where is the source for 84/85?

So far only 90/91 is moving to a 77W. 84/85 will remain a 772 for the time being.

Took out 84/85 from the wiki.

My UA90 in December loaded the 77W overnight, and I can now select seats. Yay.

UA has added F back on SFO-NRT for post May 24 flights. So that is no longer a "confirmed" date for the change over. I will edit the wiki.

You forgot to leave out that this flight will be operated by PMUA FAs. Interesting, as SFOHKG goes pmCO for the time being, no?

My recollection is that the first few 77Ws are sCO for now but that is supposed to change to sUA and the sUA 789s will shift to sCO once enough 77Ws are in operation. Makes sense to keep things running as smoothly as possible until the FA integration completes. Presumably that's done by the time May rolls around as the 77W deliveries are moving quickly.

Nope — by the time SFO-HKG starts the 77Ws will go to sUA - from another thread a while back:

Sorry I didn't add that part as it was in the article, but you are correct the late night EWR-TLV will be staffed with sub UA FAs. Company is also offering a special bid for Hebrew speakers on the sub UA to transfer to EWR without the usual 1 year restriction that usually comes with being a language speaker. SFO-HKG will be staffed with sub UA HKG based FAs.

The 77Ws transition to sub UA next month and we sub CO get the 3 sub UA 789s.

Hmm. Can they freeing it up? One for 772ER aircraft. Where they can fly elsewhere? Will they kept 1 772ER for early evening flight from EWR-TLV?

I had a FA friend saying that they're already remodeling some of the 772s. Any idea where the remodeled 772s will pop up? Same as 773s? Or is there a fuel efficiency / capacity game at play for route choice?

Also any thoughts on whether the new planes will cause a change in demand or fare availability if I'm looking for an SFO-HKG GPU to clear?

Your friend is likely confusing the Hawaiian 772 fleet conversion to lie flat (old style). No known 772 in the direct aisle access seat process yet.

See most recent posts in http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/unite...4-forward.html for upgrade chances. Changing from 747 to 777-300ER is a small decrease in premium seats from 64 to 60 --- but business seat increase from 52 to 60.

Without getting into RDM and PQM benefits on UA, I'm a heck of a lot more willing to fly UA869 rather than SQ1 because of the new J seats.

Really a no-brainer to take UA869 now, assuming equivalent pricing. Last time I took SQ1.
