Cheaper Prices out of DFW on old site

I was searching for some flights out of Dallas using flexible dates and I noted that today wasn't showing up on the calendar so I flipped over to the olds site. And not only did today show up but the prices were substantially different.

Are they using a different search engine on the two sites?

I've noticed the same thing that the old site shows different flights, and pricing. The question is, is there a way to revert back to the old site? I have a laptop that still pulls up the old site, but everything else is the new site..

I'm done using the new site just on the basis of the one way pricing. I'll do like others and start using Google...however I do know some flights are missing from google too. I've always wondered why United wouldn't list everything they have for sale on the trip the customer is looking for. Uhh let's make it harder for our customers to do business with us... Lol

Is there some trick I'm missing or has UA shaken up the fare class structure (is there any comprehensive list of which classes are penalty-free?)

Jut choose the "flexible" option in the search result rather than trying to force it.

At the old site When I type in DFW and pick one of the selections, Dallas, TX (All Airports) or Dallas/Fort worth TX US (DFW), I get an error:
! More than one airport matches your request. Please select from the list below or enter a new city, airport or airport code.
Same list as above. Pick either one and same error.

Is Dallas to follow JFK? (Just a joke.)

Your right. Same here.

Maybe this is United's way to wing us all off the old site and onto the new.

I was looking at booking GPU upgradable fares using the new sites built in feature that allows you to search using the drop-down from the "Upgrade Type" in the advanced search. Now it no longer seems available on the site. Is that just my machine or you guys seeing the same?

The problem with that is it's including penalty change fares -- I tried that and got all the way to building the "perfect" itinerary and got all the way to the fare rules and it was a fare with a $200/change penalty and nonrefundable endorsement. IIRC, it had used P fares in First rather than F/A/Z fares even though it was being shown in the Flexible column

If that had worked the way I was expecting it to, I wouldn't be trying to force it :)

I'm glad I can still get to the old website. I went today to purchase a low-level one-way award from LAS-IAH. The new website showed only the 25K level, yet the old website showed lots of availability for 12.5K awards...

But I don't know who to contact -- I sent a message to United MP help and have no answer. I've called, and CSRs are just baffled and don't help. Once I got a tech support person who was also baffled, and then cut me off. Where to turn?

Sorry, don't have an answer, But do have the same problem. Mobile site does not recognize my login.

Then choose "unrestricted" instead on the advanced search page. The two mean different things and it is not too hard to pick the one you want.

How do I book a Business or First Ticket on the New ua.com as all I see is Economy?

Is there a way to hide coach completely when booking on United's new horrible website? I need to book a business fare ticket and having the coach fares forced on me is useless.

Search fares +/- 3 days on new website? Possible?

The old good website had a feature that shows a +/- 3 day fare listing. I can't find any way to do it on the new, poorly designed website.

This is terrible. You must feel dreadfully oppressed.

It's pretty straightforward really: just select "Business/First" from the dropdown menu instead of "E......" (I didn't want to mention the other category of travel).

And the new website does have an even more expansive feature: if you choose "flexible dates" you are offered a range of fares +/- 180 days, which I think is a marvelous addition to the functionality.

While I agree ual.com is not perfect, this "problem" clearly is caused by operator error. Thanks for a good chuckle on a dark, cold morning. <roll eyes>

Why not use the feature that allows you to select the COS in which you want to travel?
