Finding lowest rates on return travel in Matrix like the old United.com
On the old united.com, you could search for the return fares for 1-3 days out. Anyway to do that with this new site?
|
I tried it in Chrome and Firefox but new site still comes up?
|
Even the chance to comment on the site does not work. This is the worst change United has made to its website in my memory. I finally gave up. At one point, it kept telling me it could not book my flight from Oregon to SFO after doing it before. Who checked this site out before we got stuck with it? Awful.

Might try a different credit card? Any that pop up secondary authentication rituals seem to struggle IME. Also, double check that you can't complete the purchase on the old site. I've done that before, where it generated the reservation correctly, but failed on the purchase.. it showed up on the old site where I was able to complete everything. YMMV
I was still doing the multi-city search for flights when I got this message. |
People should be blaming Linda Jojo for this mess. No doubt as the new CIO she's responsible for this mess. She comes from a pretty hated company in Canada, so should anyone be surprised?
The site now looks surprisingly like what AC uses. |
I know, I'm not sure what they were thinking. Hopefully someone has a trick to consistently bring up the old site.

Someone posted in a different thread to clear history and cookies, then reboot. Once done, go to www.ual.com. Worked for me earlier today.
Clear cache Clear cookies Clear history Reboot use www.UAL.com At that point only use UAL.com going forward. If you accidently by force of habit access united.com you will get the new website. At that point repeat the steps above. SunLover |

I've seen the same thing too.
It's unbelievable that UA IT wasted millions of dollars and came up with this kind of crap. :td::td: |

I just noticed that the new site now "remembers" me.
Also, has anybody gotten a pop-up window ad for the Explorer Card after clicking search on the flight search page? I just searched for a flight and after clicking "Search" I got a pop-up ad with the URL: https://www.theexplorercard.com/30kA...ate=2015-06-03 |

Using the new website with Chrome for iPad iOS 9, I was successful in booking award (saver economy) flights for the missus and me CLE-MXP for the busy Fourth of July week! I found convenient times and connections. The website worked flawlessly. Piece of cake. What are you guys doing wrong?
RNE, lamenting that I was not able to get the CLE-MXP nonstop. ;) |
Haven't read the entire thread. I was pricing a flight yesterday. One leg was about 250; the other about 150. Chose the cheapest option eah time. Total fare returned was 735 more or less. Tried a second time. Same result. Unacceptable.
