got the stoopwafel the other day... I wouldn't have paid 25 cents for it at 7-Eleven.... not that it wasn't tasty and loaded with carbs and sugar, but I just wouldn't have pulled out a quarter to buy it at 7-Eleven. While I was eating it, I kept wondering "so... this is what it feels like to fly on Air Koryo?"(the official airline of North Korea)
I love stroopwafels (with an R) and am thankful UA provides them. They are worth the empty calories! And they are expensive -- check Amazon if interested.
Air Koryo serves hamburgers onboard in economy class...
Was on CVG-ORD departing at 12:30pm Sunday. Suprised to get the stroopwafel as the snack that late. Hey...I'm definitely not complaining - I'd be happy with the option for a stroopwafel on all flights that have a snack, and perhaps makes up for the morning flights I've taken where there's been something else.

I'd fly Air Koryo ahead of Domestic United. Free hamburger (which I actually liked compared to other online reviews) and comfortable seats with great recline.

Free Snacks
I thought it was announced some time ago UA would be bringing back free snacks at the appropriate time of day and flight length. Flew LAS-ORD last week and this was not offered. Some of the other airlines give you something even small to munch on.

I think your idea of "snack" and United's idea of "snack" are disparate.
I've gotten the modern-day equivalent of peanuts (Asian style rice crackers) on many United routes.
And stroopwaffles sometimes.
But if you think "snack" means more than three bites, you're in for disappointment.
