Perhaps not, but when requalifying within the calendar year, any arrival date after the expiration date of the prior one is excessive. They should IMHO be able to get them out to arrive NLT 10 days before expiration in case you're traveling, too.

Still waiting, mine shipped yesterday. Says it should how up in 4-6 weeks. Odd I am GS for life, never can understand the delay in shipping.

Got mine in Brisbane today, feb 10., or about 10 days late, if you ask me. Qualified first week of December. Also never heard a peep from UA re qualifying for 1MM earlier in the year.

FINALLY got mine, a hop, skip, and a jump from the White House. Really, United??? I am not impressed with the lack of timeliness of receiving the kit. Requalified for Plat 12/14. At least this year I only got Plat, last year I got Gold first, then the Plat since I also requalified mid-December in 2015.
I like getting two bag tags, since I have killed all of my previous ones. And I will never say no to drink chits, even though I've got a number of my drinks free on domestic Y last year.

Another data point -- re-qualified Plat as of mid-August, then reached 1K mid-December.
Platinum kit arrived about a week ago (I was away), and mystatus is showing 1K having shipped (but don't know when).
Update: 1K kit received 2/13.

Finally got my 1K kit. Could have arrived in the last 3 days while I was away. I wonder why my name isn't printed on the luggage tags like they were last year.

I conclude based upon the drink chits provided that the new 1K drink offer in coach is the reason we only received 10 chits vs. the usual 10 for me and 10 for her.
Otherwise I just flew LH out and back through Frankfurt and never once was asked to see my card, *G was prominently displayed on all the BP's. So the physical card seems to be needed less and less anymore.

Still No 2016 Card
I am a 2.4 MM flier, Platnium member. I still do not have my 2016 card. I keep calling (and on hold) and they say they are a bit behind but my card was porcessed in January and should be with me "any day". I have flown to FRA and of course the LH lounge will not let me in without the card. UA says, "just print out your card". LH does not accept that.
UA should not have the old card expire January if they cannot get a new card to you in time. Anyone wlese still missing their card?

I don't have my card yet. Probably will have to wait until 2017 since us useless silvers were deemed unworthy of $.15.
But...yanno...free snacks in economy so that's nice...

Mine said it was shipped in October, but I never received it. I called into MP about 2 weeks ago and they said they're shipping a replacement card, which would take about 4 weeks.
