The Fleet Status site is:

https://sites.google.com/site/unitedfleetsite/

At the site, you can find information about the interior features, livery, etc., for every plane in United's fleet.

To determine which plane your flight will be on go to mobile.united.com and then click on flight status. Put in the flight number for your flight and just have it use today's date (occasionally it'll say flight not operated on this date in which case just choose one of the other 3 dates it lists). In the address bar you'll see something like this:

mobile.united.com/FlightStatus/FlightDetails?carrierCode=UA&flightNumber=415&flig htDate=9%2F15%2F2015&origin=JFK&destination=SFO

https://mobile.united.com/FlightStatus/FlightDetails?carrierCode=UA&flightNumber=415&flig htDate=9%2F15%2F2015&origin=JFK&destination=SFO

Just change the flight date to match the day of your scheduled flight and then change the origin / destination as necessary. Once you do that look in the details tab under aircraft # and if they have assigned a plane it'll say something like #3506 and the type of plane. Once you know that go to the United Fleet website listed above and cross-reference the four digit number against the "aircraft" column under the appropriate aircraft type.

Keep in mind that things change as they get closer and sometimes either they won't have assigned an aircraft yet or it'll be assigned #0 if it's a few days away and they are anticipating aircraft movement.

You may also check the specific fleet variant of each flight at the United Cargo site under "Schedules & tracking". This data tends to be reliable starting 7 days in advance, but is always subject to change.

Thanks Bunky, for your faithful and underappreciated contributions to this Forum. I know many appreciate your efforts, although they may not express themselves. I'm looking forward to seeing how the 787-9 does.

Unless they've finally come to their senses and are painting planes back into the tulip scheme, N658UA has already been painted into Air $mi$ek livery.

The only 763 unpainted to the new livery is N655UA and it has been stated on threads that it is due for paint in November. Depending on how long it's going to stay in the fleets, I think it could just stay with a tulip and be considered a retrojet.

Just noticed United removed the old Hawaiian config from the website for the 777, so I think that last one is really getting the new config this time.

Hey Bunky,

I've said it before, but I will say it again, thank you for keeping this most important thread up to date. It is a true gem.

Q: Why do you have the 767-200 still listed under mainline fleet as opposed to the removed mainline or out of service tabs?

I've left it there (showing Retired) because the aircraft have not been delivered to the new buyer. it looks like one is still in GYR and I don't know who would ferry it out - if someone can confirm they are all totally gone from UA, I should pull them.

Just a heads up that the last 737 aircraft just went in for maintenance to add wifi. When it comes out, every single 737 aircraft will have some sort of entertainment (wifi, streaming or direct tv). Took a while to get started, but certainly raced through them once they did.

They will still receive upcoming fleet additions dark, but all the active are complete or actively being worked on now.

Bolding mine to help clarify not ALL 737s have wifi yet. Just all the previously dark 739s do (as well as several others).

The last three "dark" 739s are in Maint bases at this time.
N28478 (unit that was leased for 739 scimitar winglet testing) is in INT as is N69819.
N68822 is in MCO, where WiFi has been added previously, but INT has been doing all 73NG WiFi recently (to my knowledge). Maybe MCO will pick up the pace on system-wide WiFi installations

As for new deliveries, N69830 flew directly from SEA induction to INT for WiFi - hopefully this trend will continue, meaning all UA mainline aircraft will have at least one of the following: AVOD, overhead TVs, WiFi, streaming WiFi, DirecTv.

738:
N76508 sked to enter INT 2166/20Jul, WiFi probable

739:
N28478 sked to exit INT 2167/21Jul with WiFi

763:
N672UA sked to exit GSO 2160/21Jul

I believe the new seats are required for the new configuration.

The comment was about all 737 aircraft having some sort of entertainment, not that they all have wifi.

Believe you are correct.

Since most all mid-cons ex DFW going west are CR7s, know this bird well

It's been months since I've seen old config.

When I connect via IAH there are lots of 73s, but I have yet see more than one with WiFi - it would be a shock if they installed it that quick
