The Fleet Status site is:

https://sites.google.com/site/unitedfleetsite/

At the site, you can find information about the interior features, livery, etc., for every plane in United's fleet.

To determine which plane your flight will be on go to mobile.united.com and then click on flight status. Put in the flight number for your flight and just have it use today's date (occasionally it'll say flight not operated on this date in which case just choose one of the other 3 dates it lists). In the address bar you'll see something like this:

mobile.united.com/FlightStatus/FlightDetails?carrierCode=UA&flightNumber=415&flig htDate=9%2F15%2F2015&origin=JFK&destination=SFO

https://mobile.united.com/FlightStatus/FlightDetails?carrierCode=UA&flightNumber=415&flig htDate=9%2F15%2F2015&origin=JFK&destination=SFO

Just change the flight date to match the day of your scheduled flight and then change the origin / destination as necessary. Once you do that look in the details tab under aircraft # and if they have assigned a plane it'll say something like #3506 and the type of plane. Once you know that go to the United Fleet website listed above and cross-reference the four digit number against the "aircraft" column under the appropriate aircraft type.

Keep in mind that things change as they get closer and sometimes either they won't have assigned an aircraft yet or it'll be assigned #0 if it's a few days away and they are anticipating aircraft movement.

You may also check the specific fleet variant of each flight at the United Cargo site under "Schedules & tracking". This data tends to be reliable starting 7 days in advance, but is always subject to change.

Couple rumors I recently heard:

UA is considering keeping some of the ETOPS non-PS 752s for longer than earlier planned
Also considering keeping some of the 3 class 763s and converting them to 2 class (this one seems somewhat plausible given that UA isn't getting too many more 788s)

Any truth at all?

Saw that, too, and was killed myself for 10 minutes trying to recall if s-CO actually had 763s when I was sure they didn't. Phew!

Maybe some of the 1993s? I've definitely seen a user on FT or Airliners post a relatively simple conversion of the 3-class 763s to 2-class. I can't seem to find it though... . It involved no lavatory or galley moves, etc.

Here are some updates I have noticed recently:

738: N37293, N77295, N77296 and N73299 have scimitar winglets
753: N73860 now has WiFiStream
788: N30913 will have INTL WiFi upon entry into fleet

Anyone have an idea when the 739s without DTV will be getting WiFiStream?

Bunky, any chance you have visibility into Wi-Fi installs on the OO RJ fleet? Would love to get updates on that if you have the access.

Can only check Express fleet with Flight Aware and united.com. Once a unit gets done and someone tells the public or finds it, the aircraft can be traced on Flight Aware for location of a maint visit. Then can check for arrivals at that airport. Migth be easy to check E175s as there aren't many to search 115 CRJ7s could take a while. Maybe we'll have someone with inside info that can lead us to public information.

Hey Bunky,

With the UAX fleets, United says it has 9 E120s in fleet, your fleet list shows over 40. Haven't most of these been retired? Also the B1900 I believe was entirely retired with Silver stopping service at Cleveland. Any info on this?

UAX definitely has more than 9 EMB120s in service.
