I would rank sq>br>oz>nh. Compare the seat pitches. Sq business prolly best but BR business is definitely the better of the 3. Dom perignon on EVA business!

Do yourself a favor and go for Elite-Deluxe. Food will still be awful though.

thanks! dont have enough miles for J for two option of booking saver award on a good asian star alliance carrier seem better than paying several hundred bucks premium on a united upgradable fare and playing the GPU lottery.

If talking hard product, think SQ would be the worst if passenger 6 foot or over. Those short wide seats are horrid for tall people. Prefer United C hard product.

Just grabbed 3x BR seats ex SIN in C. Curious to see their product.

I just booked a saver award ticket for TPE/SFO in I. United shows "business" (60k miles). Seatguru shows it will be "Premium Laurel" class but I got seat 5D assigned - indicating this will be in "Royal Laurel" class since Premium Laurel seats start from row 6. Can anyone confirm?

Thanks.

[update] never mind. received Eva confirmation # so I can manage the seat on evaair.com. It does show the aircraft is 77N so it is a Royal Laurel class seat.

Is this right?
royal laurel = first
premium laurel = business

And are both lay flat?

Question

Yesterday I used UA miles to book a saver award with a mix of UA and BR flights. Two things seem strange to me:
1. On the View Current Reservation page there's a UA confirmation number but not BR's
2. Seat assignment for the BR flight is not showing, not even on the View Receipt page.

How long does it take for these two things to show up? Do I have a valid reservation or not?

Not exactly right. Both are considered bus.class. RL = new, true flat seats 1-2-1. PL = angle-flat 2-2-2.
Extensive discussion at http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/other...rel-seats.html

premium laurel is the older generation angled flat seat. Not as good as UA lie flat C (BF)

royal laurel is the new lie flat. It is almost like UA GF. In terms of space utility, service, and meal, it is better than UA GF. It leaves UA BF lie flat to the dust.

When I've booked an award ticket on SQ, I've never gotten an SQ confirmation number. Never had a problem though.

Since BR is still a recent addition to *A, you might want to call and see if they have a record of your booking anyway.
