People have been patience since 3/3.
The IT problem is not only for 10+ days like Virgin Australia.
It has been for few months for different issues.

Except this isn't just their reward booking engine, but their entire reservation system, including phone. That's pretty disruptive for a mid-day update.

Does anyone know if this is also impacting their ability to do reservations by phone?? The site message implies EVERYTHING is down. If so, that is a BIG issue for UA. Hopefully their flight systems (weight calculations, etc) are still up!

The worlds largest airline entire system is quite a dif story.

I'm on the record for this being a major milestone on COs journey to oblivion.

Ouch. You would think that they would have run this "update" in the middle of the night rather than the middle of a work day.
I don't think that there is anything "planned" on this "update" (crash). I guess that Shares just needed some time off.

Looks like its just the site as the mobile site appears functional. We would've also heard something at the airports if SHARES was down.

Maybe they are going put up a newly designed site.


Lets not get our hopes up, I think everyone would be content with just a functioning site at this point.

Have planes fallen out of the sky yet? NO.

So there's nothing to see here folks, move along. Just a minor hiccup. Ancillary system needed a reboot.
