Awesome. Thank you for the response. I'll adjust my seats.

I always pick row 2 if available, since an aircraft change to the smallest First cabin (737-700 and A320/319) only has 3 rows. Which means row 3 would be best in your case.

Hello - all my apologies if this is the wrong thread. I fly on United a fair amount in Biz class and I am consistently running into power issues. It seems like the power plugs in biz class (I have not tested this in econ) on 737 and 757 planes do not like my laptop brick (135W & 7 amps). I run out of power too quickly on my stupid laptop. The green light on the biz class power goes dark when I plug in my brick. Is this normal?? On the 787 and 777 - in biz and econ - they all work 100% FINE.

TIA!!

The max power / surge power limits are slightly different for each aircraft type. A 135W power module is a bit hefty for an airplane.
Two suggestions
-- Try plugging in the power adapter, not connected to the laptop and then connect to the laptop.
-- Get a less wattage power adapter (sometimes marketed as a travel power module) . While the batteries will still drain at bit, it will be much slower than no AC power.

I've run into the same problem and solved it by buying a 90W USB C charger that I keep in my travel bag. I get the "slow charging" notification when I use it, but it does the trick and will keep the laptop powered through the flight. .

Yeah, I have a 45W version for my previous HP laptop, so that is what I will go with thanks!

Is there a cut out, cubby in front of seats 1A/1B on the 737-900, where you can put a small bag, or is that on the MAX9?

Yes, I was just on one, and they have one there and they let me put my backpack in it - I am sure that is VERY YMMV

There is a measurable change in the bulkhead at floor level, but I wouldn't call it a "cubby" (it's quite small) and I do not believe it is approved for stowage.

Just had an equipment change moving me from a 737-800 to a 737-900 for my EWR-PHX flight.

I’m currently in 8A (auto reassign). I see 7DE are blocked based on what I read from this thread. Thoughts on selecting 7F? How annoying is the bathroom?

I get there aren’t really any awesome Economy plus seats on this plane, but should I move to 21A?

7F is okay and there is a lot of space in front, but 7D would be annoying.

Why window seat, 21A does not have a great view due to exit door and wing.

True. Always just prefer the window over the aisle, C or D are probably better.

Maybe I’ll just go 7F, seems preferable over 8A with the hard wall to the floor from the lav.

737-9M: Red-eye seat 1A: How is the legroom due to presence of the bulkhead wall, is bulkhead wall reduces the legroom?
