This is an archive thread, the active thread is [Consolidated]UA/Partner flights miles not posting?

If a United / United Express flight has not posted within 5 days, you may request missing flight credit
Go to the bottom of the page and sign-in into your account
You will need the e-ticket number.
Requests may be submitted up to 12 months after the date of your flight.

For missing flight partner credit you will need to wait 15 7 days.
For any segment operated by a Star Alliance partner airline, Aer Lingus or Jet Airway, you’ll need to enter additional information along with the ticket number.

For missing non-flight partner credit you will need to wait 8 weeks before requesting missing credit

UA claims I was a "no show" , cancelled rest of itin -- but I did actually fly!!!

I am doing what I hope to be the last flights of my year. in this trip I have 6 LH flights, 1 of them was done last Sunday and hasn't posted, two where made today so will wait between 3-4 days to see if they post... All of this flights made through the UA website page! I am really counting on UA to not screw this up... This miles will put me over 100k PQM, but seeing all the troubles people are having I wonder:

- if I am a citizen of Costa Rica and reside there, does the DOT covers my back in case I don't get the miles cited?
- if not, who can I complaint to?

Anyhow, I will be updating whether miles posted or not, this trip is not over until December 11th...

However, here's one more (not quite hypothetical) question:

So trip A on usair (or other Star Alliance) carrier would change some
travellers' status (say it's an overseas trip worth 10000 miles) and as
soon as it gets credited, the happy traveller gets a status promotion.

But if, as seen and discussed here, the actual credit is, say a month
late, and the traveller does another (short) trip B in the meantime. Will
the credit also change rqm mile bonus for trip B retroactively (since
the travellers status change he/she gets an 100% rqm bonus instead
of 75% (platinum --> 1k) or 50 % instead of 25% (silver --> gold)
(cf. http://www.united.com/web/en-US/cont...r/default.aspx)

Does anyone have any data or observations to answer this ?

TIA !

I'm guessing you'll have to call in for that.

Interestingly enough - my wife is in the same situation - her US flights on 11/7 never posted and would have made her gold, but her 11/11 flight did post, but her account showed silver at the time, so she only got her silver bonus.

Oh dear.. reading this thread does not fill me with hope..
I am chasing miles from a US flight from the 3rd of November.. And it will mean the difference between being silver or gold on a SFO-ORD flight (and said upgrade chances..)

one Q: I, for the life of me can not find or remember my booking class (Yes, I have the BP but no mention of booking class on it) Will a guestimate kill the system?

The booking class is typically listed on the invoice confirmation you received after booking.

<== I'm not American, nor do I reside in the US.

Well that certainly does seem to be the way to go once reasonable effort has been exhausted!

Agency, work booking.. Trawled through their corporate system where this stuff is stored...

Request submitted.. lets see how we go.. Annoying thing is I got the Agent at US air to check to make sure my details were there.. not sure if this is a UA or US issue..

Waited the 15 days and filled out the form... it asked for the operating carrier (NH) and then the flight number - it was UA coded NH operated. I put in the NH flight number (both were on the BP) as that was the carrier from which I was requesting the credit.

Can someone confirm I was right on that...

You are correct, as the operating carrier was NH.

Welcome to FT! Sorry that it had to be for a negative reason. Unfortunately missing 1 of multiple segments seems to be quite 'normal' right now. My 8 month saga was around 1 segment of 4 which did not post (2 posted, 1 required 4 months of chasing, and 1 required 8 months of chasing)

Three days however isn't too awful; I would give it a few more days before starting to wonder too hard.

Yes, FWFDAN, what you did sounds correct However, code shares have a nasty surprise if you do not check the fare class. see these links for more information.

UA mileage for *A partner NH:

NO Miles on UA code Share:
