5 April 2018 -- UA started posting an "expiration date", appears to be at least 18 months after most recent activity (some are longer for unknown reasons)
also states
Expiration had previously been in the T&Cs for some time (2 years of inactivity? but now is 18 months) and had stated an ETC would be issued if the funds did timeout. Unclear if that still applies.
The Gift Registry has been disabled since Fall 2017 (Sept?) (appears this may be related to a tax issue?)

ETA: I pressed the button and paid $25 ... and I find that my join date and my expiry date are no longer displayed! And contrary to what is stated by others above, I can't see anywhere now where the Club expiry date is show. I can see my balance in all sorts of places, but not my expiry date.

Unaware I had let my united.com subscription lapse, 2 months ago, this thread cause me to check.
Just renewed and it shows in the account as received -- Gift Registry Contribution -- as it has in the past
And within an half hour received
Does not look like a program going away.

This page (https://www.united.com/web/en-US/app...b/default.aspx) seems to still exist, if you search for "united.com club" and can start the renewal process. It now shows up as a gift registry contribution instead of a membership fee, but this has been the case for a while.

I'm seeing a 5 year expiration term under the terms and conditions here: https://www.united.com/cms/en-US/pro...tregistry.aspx
Or does that refer to something else?

The TravelBank T&Cs state
- TravelBank Cash accrued in a Member's TravelBank account shall be maintained in the account until they are redeemed or until they expire, whichever occurs first.
- As a general rule (and unless stated otherwise by United under the terms of a particular offer or the terms of certain qualifying activity as determined by United from time to time) all accrued TravelBank Cash in an Account is subject to expiration and/or forfeiture for any Member who fails at any time to engage in Account Activity (as defined above) for a period of eighteen (18) consecutive months. United may, but shall have no obligation to, send a Member a notification of TravelBank Cash nearing or subject to expiration.

Despite emails to the addresses in wiki plus a call to CS, still no credit for flights taken around New Year (and subsequently). Anyone else getting/not getting credited properly of late? Multi-pax itineraries that were all split because of upgrades, fwiw.
