Thanks. Do you need to be a Hounslow resident?

This was taken at Bowes Hotel, Bardon Mill near Hexham yesterday. The effect somewhat dented by a similar failure to wear a t-shirt.

Now this is what it should look like:

This was lunchtime today, Cornwall. After getting the ice off the car early in the morning, lunchtime at the pub on the beach was warm enough for T-shirts and even a paddle in the sea afterwards.

Estrella. It was odd drinking Spanish beer on a Cornish beach. Still a good feeling after all this time.

Seems like it broke through vaccines? :/

This is the fear. None of the current vaccines seem to be great against SA variant.

Can’t say thanks enough for the heads up, just got my (AZ) jab!! Can’t believe how quick and efficient it was, in and out in 5 minutes. Staff was wonderful. Big turnaround in my mood from this morning when it looked like it could be another month before getting my invite. Didn’t expect I would get my vaccine in Brentford, but hey!

DaveS Apr 13, 2021 11:22 am

Time for some data:

Cases 2,472 (2,379 last Tuesday)
Deaths 23 (20)
Patients admitted 230 (269 on the 31st)
Patients on ventilation 377 (461 on the 5th)
Patients in hospital 2,537 (3,222 on the 4th)
People vaccinated up to and including 12 April 2021
First dose: 32,250,481
Second dose: 7,857,396

The rolling 7 day daily average is down 15.3% on the previous week.

Thanks for posting the update. I am also keen to see the restriction for entering and leaving Scotland being revoked too as I would love to visit again, hopefully this may happen at the end of April.

Hi,

Hopefully this will be on the 26th April ( when non essential shops and outdoor hospitality can reopen). The date is the current Scottish govt plan.

Surely it depends on what we expect from the vaccines? Has a single person who has been fully vaccinated died due to SA-variant Covid-19?

London needs to go in to a snap full lockdown. We can’t have Londoners piling in to pubs and shops like they did after Lockdown 2.0 and superspreading the virus around.
