TK webpage with details on seat reservation.

Seats on Turkish Airlines can be reserved in the following ways:

1. For long-haul international flights, seat selection is available starting 100 days before departure for economy and 355 days for business class. Seats can be selected through the call center, the "Manage Booking" section on the website or the “My Flights” section on the mobile app.

2. Extra legroom seats in economy are charged for and can be reserved 355 days in advance.

3. If you have booked your flight within the 100 days window (355 for business class) you can select seats online during the booking process.

4. If you have not pre-booked seats you can do so during the online check in process.

5. For domestic economy flights that are not part of a longhaul itinerary, TK flights are open for seat reservations 24 hours before departure.

my Aeroplan-booked TK flights opened up

I entered Name + TK PNR
Took me to another page to enter Last Name + Ticket #
After that I can choose the seats (still not too smooth, can't just hit Next and Next to choose 2 segments in 1 step)
Did it twice for 1 PNR + 3-pax PNR

Just an update regarding seat selection for fellow passengers who have similar selections:

Upon the 100-day window as of today, I called the local ticket office in Toronto, and they directed me to another 800-number. It appears to be overseas, but I can't place the accent.

Here it is: 1-800-874-8875

The customer service rep was straight-forward, right down to business, and as she was carrying my seat request, would reply to my request pretty much verbatim.

Because I'm lousy with dates and numbers, I used this. Enjoy!

Seat selection onA321 and 777

Flying TLv-IST on an A321 and IST-YYZ on a 777. I'm flying alone and prefer aisle access. Can anyone recommend a specific seat?

2nd or 3rd row, any isle seat would be just as good. In theory, if you select 2/3D or 2/3G there is a lesser chance to be bothered by your neighbor when he wants to exit to the isle.

Here's my recent experience.
I'm flying TLV-IST-OSL-IST-TLV in about 50 days. Outbound in Y and back in J.
I called both the TLV office and the Turkish one and they both told me that the seat maps will only open 7 days in advance since they are all short-haul flights.
After checking again they could select seats for me for the J flights but not for the Y flights.

Seat and meal selection

I just called TK to select a seat and order a vegetarian meal. My flight is in August, I purchased it with USDM. The agent told me that I can't select seats or meal until late July. Seriously? Is this their policy, or should I call again? I'll be travelling by late July, and don't want to spend my time calling up an airline. And I'm afraid of a long flight in a middle seat with nothing to eat but ham.

Thank you. This is a flight from Colombo, Sri Lanka to Istanbul. Maybe it's a 2 week window for flights from Asia to Istanbul?

I'm on MUC-321-IST-77W-PVG//CAN-343-IST-321-MUC in 3B-2G-2E-2E

Note really an aisle guy, how do you change the seating on tk.com?

You don't Either you call the local TK office and ask them to assign other seats, or you wait for online check-in to change seats (not recommended).
