Applied for my then infant daughter in January 24. Still says processing. Any recent DPs?
It's starting to just feel like they've halted approvals. |
Curious if this has happened for anyone else? Spouse had global entry that is expiring next year. Has since moved to Canada since having GE and is a PR. Applied for Nexus (by clicking the renewal button on the global entry app and then selecting Nexus) and it has been approved without an interview.

Husband conditionally approved this morning!
American citizen living in the US. Applied Jan 29th. Approved Nov 18th. 294 days. Still waiting on mine (Canadian living in the US). No appointments available at this time, anywhere. EDIT: Just received notification that mine was approved as well! |
Figured I’d chime in with my update:
Canadian in Canada, applied February 10, 2020 Conditional approval this AM... December 11, 2020 305 days! There were interview appointments available in Fort Erie for June 2021. |
US Citizen in US. Applied March 11th, 2020 - still waiting for conditional approval...

same here was (and wife ) approved approved end of Aug 19 appointment was within the first two weeks of February 2020 and the Blane office was closed a week before or so and have reschedule many time in Vancouver to keep them active lol need to have a combo of virtual interviews and then going into places just for Any in person stuff else interviews will always be behind as the backlog grows |
Good morning everyone,
My wife, daughter and myself all have our Nexus cards (all completed same time), and we are going to have baby #2 in July. We will be applying as soon as possible after the birth, has anyone here gone through the process of applying singularly for a baby/toddler and could share their experience? thank you very much, Mike |
The wait to schedule interviews is getting to be a bit much. I don't mind waiting several months or even a year for my damn interview. But not being able to schedule at all is ridiculous. Especially when they are still actively approving applications. How do they intend to keep up with the backlog once they allow us to schedule again? They say we have two years from approval to complete the interview... will it even be possible to get an interview in that amount of time? I hope they are willing to provide refunds to people who can't meet the deadline.

I have the same concerns and I think maybe they have not thought about it yet but will deal with it when the time comes maybe they’re thinking and I’m wondering like you if they’ve actually thought about how many people are in line and increasing daily. don’t think they’ll be a refund type option just like they’re currently doing where it’s delayed. like I said in an earlier post I hope they do some type of hybrid type appointments were some could be virtual and then you go in just to do the in person stuff. They will have to do something different than the norm unless they actually hire double staff Will be interesting to see what eventually happens. |

Remote interview option just started showing up in TTP but no appointment windows available. Nonetheless this is definitely new. You would think this would make sense from a staffing perspective since immigration inspection workloads at port of entries should be down.
