Got my conditional approval today. Surprised me since it's Saturday. So I ended up coming in under the 51 day average wait showing when I applied. Unfortunately, here in Calgary, the wait for an interview is 3 months. First available was September 12, which is 2 days after we come back from the trip I was hoping to be able to use it on. Could go to Edmonton in late August, but it would be doubtful that the card would show up in time. If I really really really wanted to get it done, I could take a day off work and go to the Sweet Grass border crossing this upcoming week, but I don't exactly want to make that journey just for this, so I guess it'll be September.

Keep checking. Appointments open up all the time, particularly during the open hours of the desired interview location as others change their plans.

Ha, you weren't kidding. Checked this morning, and a spot tomorrow morning had opened up. Hopefully my wife gets as lucky.

Had my interview this morning, and got approved, so now I'm just waiting on the card.

I live in Seattle and first available spot for interview in Seattle city location was on 10/19.
Checked Blaine location (border crossing) and there was one available for next day at 8am so drove 90 miles on a sunday morning to get this out of the way.

I appears from comparing posts on this site that there was a week in February where "something" went amiss.

I agree.

My husband applied Feb 23, had an interview May 16th. Never received the letter than confirms his admission or his card. He finally emailed them yesterday (after some wifely nagging) and he received the letter within an hour. So we imagine his card will come pretty fast.

I applied Feb 23rd, got conditional approval June 8th, Interview June 13th got my card June 19th.

It is like there was some weird black hole in February.

So my wife got her approval a couple days ago, but didn't notice until now. Initial interview date was for September 20th, but checking literally minutes later, one opened up for next week.

My 1 year old son was finally approved. There were interview openings even tomorrow, but since they require that both parents be there, we couldn't find a time we could both make it until next week. I believe they will approve if only one parent is there as long as the other parent signs a letter, but we didn't want to risk wasting any more time.

How long does it normally take for a GOES account to update with the full approval? Mine updated about 30 minutes after I was there for the interview, but my wife's has been a couple of hours and it's still showing that she has an interview scheduled. Was mine uncommonly fast?

Mine was by the time I walked to my car after the interview.

hmmmm o.k. I guess we'll give it 24 hours and if it doesn't update then have her call them to find out what's going on
