Yes, I'm currently at 377 days and counting in Pending Review for my 2nd Nexus renewal. My wife got her renewal in 14 days with no interview required and our travel outside the U.S. has been 100% together. Makes no sense at all.

We applied for my infant, US citizen, mid July 2021. It's still pending pre-approval. My wife had her Nexus interview on Dec 2021. She asked about the status of our infant's NEXUS application. Canadian CBSA officer said on their side it's approved but it's pending approval on the US side. The US officer said it usually takes 10 months due to pandemic/short-staff backlogs. It's now more than 10 months.

Have you received any update for your son?

Hopefully the Canadian airport locations open up soon so we can just fly through there and get it done before the conditional approval expires...

No worries per the CBP site her conditional approval is good for 730 days or 2 years.

"You must complete enrollment within 730 days of receiving your conditional approval. Not scheduling and completing the interview will result in cancelation of the application and no refunds will be granted."

How long is too long?

I applied and paid for my Nexus application on July 20th 2021...it's now June 2nd, 2022, and it still says, "Wait for conditional approval". I expect increased waiting times due to office closures during Covid...but this is too much. I go to the US about 10 times a year and hate waiting when I fly out.

Are there other people that have waited this long?

Yes. See the posts immediately above yours. Me and my niece have been waiting over a year as well. Both US citizens with GE.

Welcome to FT. Just be patient. Many have waited longer than you have.

Just think - after approval you'll then have to try to schedule and wait f:(r an interview.

This article about the backlog was previously posted but seems to have disappeared.

lots of us waiting longer. My son was 4.5 months old when we applied and a dual citizen. Obviously no criminal record. We are still pending review and applied May 3, 2021. They told us 12 to 14 months, so hoping to hear within the next few wks.

Interview Report:

1 US LPR who applied in April 2020, approved same month - had scheduled interviews/automatically been canceled multiple times during the pandemic. No issues, though was oddly asked if we had our birth certificate at the beginning--didn't have it, wasn't an issue. Standard questions, any additional countries visited, any other citizenships, proof of address (had changed between application and interview, not an issue), email address. Was given a pamphlet regarding NEXUS, which was 99% focused on customs issues.

1 naturalized USC-was asked for the naturalization certificate, didn't have it and was told to email it, did that and was approved a day or two later after calling the office and speaking to the agent who did the interview (probably could have waited a few days). This was a member who applied in 2019, scheduled an interview that year and the next, but despite it being more than 720 days after the first conditional approval, had no issues getting this interview and completing it. This was also a member who had an agricultural violation in 2013ish, and was initially denied, then conditionally approved after reconsideration (you can probably see information on that in my history). Was asked about that at the interview and answered truthfully. I think since it was a one off thing with no other immigration/agricultural issues is why they were allowed a reconsideration approval in the first place.

Was told by the Canadian officer that any passport updates done on the TTP website does in fact go to the Canadian side. I had been concerned since many people here said they were told the opposite and needed to go in person to update the passport for the Canadian side

Got conditional approval through on 8 June after applying on 3 May (so a little over a month). Seemingly, the processing times aren’t terrible as long as you don’t get flagged anywhere.
