My wife's GE expired in June of 2019, she reapplied on 10/16/19 and the application is still pending review. Its been 8 months, is there a way to contact them? im pretty sure 8 months is the longest ive seen.

FWIW - I applied at about the same time - maybe a week earlier - and I am still waiting.

Thank you both.

Applied September 28, just received approval today. No interview required. 263 days.

The wife and I both had GE that expired in 2018. We are going to do some traveling and figured we better renew our GE. Since we had a two lapse we figured we would have to go through the whole process again because of the two year gap. Filled out applications and submitted in early June. Checked status a few times and always “Pending review “. Finally received e-mail of status change. Checked and both of ours were “approved.” No interview required. We had real ID so not sure if that mattered. Non the less, 7 days from submission to approval. Had to buy new cards though.

Applied for renewal Nov 19, 2019, still waiting; 217 days so far.

Sigh.

Applied around the same date. Still waiting as well.

My wife and I applied to renew on December 1, 2019 and hers came through in 3 days, but required an interview. I am still waiting 208 days later. We have nearly the same list of countries (mine added South Korea and the Netherlands but we both listed Cuba too).

Her appointment is two weeks from now and it is an 8-hour drive for us to get there. I called to see if there is any chance of pushing mine though so we can only make one interview trip. Not possible.

If you're willing to plan a domestic vacation trip around a Global Entry interview and are willing to fly to get to your vacation destination, Tucson (of all places) had openings this summer the last time I checked. (I've got a short trip planned there in August specifically to do my Global Entry renewal interview. Thought I'd do it in the summer months, in case we have a second surge of the virus in the fall once everyone's back to spending more time indoors.)

We had an appointment in Tucson and planned to drive there from Reno (13 1/2 hours). A few days ago an appointment opened up in Salt Lake which reduces the drive to 8 hours. Of course only my wife is approved - mine is still pending so we will likely have to make the drive twice.

Las Vegas has some openings in July, but probably doesn't save much drive time from Reno.

Maybe you'll luck out and not have to go for an interview.

Salt Lake is a bit easier - as I-80 is a better road than NV95... and SLC will be cooler. We have a small airplane so if the weather is good (no thunderstorms), we can fly and do the trip in under 3 hours. With Vegas, Tucson etc it can be too hot to fly the plane (hard to keep the engine cool when it is 105F+ outside).

Was hoping that my renewal would follow your timeline but my renewal is still pending as of today, 7/2. Not going anywhere anytime soon, so it's not a big deal, but I'd like to not have to keep checking to see if I need to schedule an interview :).

Global Entry Renewal Processing Time

I submitted Global Entry renewal application for my 9 year old daughter last November, the status is still showing "Wait for conditional approval" 8 months later, is this normal?

Yes - completely normal. See the wiki at the top of this web page for more information.

I submitted and certified my application on 7/12/20; it was pending on morning of 7/13/20, and just about 6 hours ago (on 7/13/20), i received a notification that my application was approved (no conditional...just flat out approved)...!???

Is this typical? ONE day turnaround? I was expecting it to take 200+ days, so I just submitted it now instead of waiting a few more wks until September when it expires -- I was hoping to get the "extra year" by submitting close to the expiration date.... Had I known I would be approved in ond day, I would have waited until the day before it expired to certify. I guess I won't complain, since what's done is done, but is this typical??? I fly1-2x/month round tryp domestically and have a decent amount of international travel, none to "terrorist zones", if that makes any difference?

Probably helps that none of her basic information has changed in >20 years, and she never gets into trouble.

I didn't see your post before posting my above post. Is she a frequent flyer? Trying to figure out how I got an approval in 1 day also....
