Applied for my 2nd renewal a few days ago and got conditional approval in about 36 hours. Checked the TTP site a few times until I found some Zoom appointments for the same day, including one that started 6 minutes later. Appointment lasted 3 minutes, and would have lasted 2 minutes if I had better lighting around my laptop. Got the approval email about 10 minutes later.

Mine expired earlier this week. Kinda forgot about it the past months as I have no travel plans in the near future, so I put if off till the expiration date plus I was waiting for a new credit card that would credit the application fee. I thought I had till end of day of the expiration date, to renew and maintain benefits, but turns out membership expires at 12:01 AM instead of 11:59 PM.

Ended up reapplying/paying for renewal about a day after expiration (first time renewing) and got notification of full Approval w/o needing an interview just over 24 hours later.

No notable updates to my profile, other than adding several countries to the list of places I've been to in the past 5 years and updating home address, since I moved.

Did you get an extra year of validity? Is your new expiration date in 2027 or 2028?

My GE expired last year in late April. Took me a month or two to figure it out after several flights without Pre-Check.

I finally got around to filling out the renewal application 2 or 3 weeks ago as my first trip out of the country since 2019 was looming.

I just got the status change e-mail, and logged in; Approved, not conditional and needing an interview, fully active and ready to use. No new card coming just ready to go.

Should be a solid data point here, that even after a YEAR expired one can still possibly be renewed without the hassle of interviews!

Oh, and as an added bonus, they waited until a few days past my birthday to approve it, so I get 6 years this time around pretty much! Maybe it was luck, or perhaps someone did me a favor and timed it that way on purpose. We will never know.....

Yay!

Had my in person interview today at IAH. Went well and received approval around an hour after leaving the interview.

Interestingly I was asked the same exact two questions as I was in London when I did my initial enrollment interview 5 years ago. They just wanted to know why I had been to UAE (business) and Turkey (vacation).

I thought they might want to know why I’d been to Cuba (also vacation) but didn’t care to ask.

Glad that’s over with for another 5 years!

My 3rd renewal on April 26, 2022 was approved today whereas my 2nd renewal from August 5, 2017 was approved on August 22, 2017. I was worried that my approval would get delayed due to the backlog, but it turns out that my approval was fast so I'm just going to wait for my new card. Other than lots of travel between the US and Mexico, I lost my job during the pandemic and picked up a temp job until I got another job. No interview needed.

My passport card and book will expire in late 2027 and 2028 respectively, a few months earlier than Global Entry so I'll probably renew everything all at once in 2027.

How do I renew Global Entry?

Trying to figure out how to renew my Global Entry card via the Trusted Traveler Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) site
https://ttp.cbp.dhs.gov/dashboard

What do I click on to renew?
I DO see the reminders that I need to renew. I DON"T see how to do that.

Below: Screen shot of what I see on my CBP dashboard.

When I filled out my renewal for Global Entry a week ago, I entered my brand new renewal Passport (book) number. I hadn't yet received my renewal Passport Card yet, but it has now arrived. My Global Entry renewal is still "Pending Renewal".

Any idea if I should contact DHS through the TTP "Contact Us" form and notify them of my new Passport Card number?

I did my renewal back in August, and it required an interview, which I havent yet done. I have my first international trip scheduled for next month - is there anywhere to confirm I can do it on arrival?

I have a basic question that is truly baffling me.

Where did you find the renewal application?

This is what I see on my Global Entry dashboard. I can't find the renewal application anywhere on the page.
Do you have a link?

It's possible that it is an issue with your browser settings that prevent the display of the renew button.

Have you tried a different browser or a different computer or tablet to logo into the TTP website?

Clearing the cache, deleting the cookies and disabling any privacy and ad blocking extensions often helps in such situations.

Instead of the latter, you may want to try using private or incognito modes, however, make sure that any extensions are not enabled in those modes.

Summary - I renewed a slightly expired Global Entry membership in 1.5 days with no need to interview.

My Global Entry and my Missouri driver license both recently expired on my birthday (which I will refer to as “B”). I renewed my license (upgrading to a Real ID version) about a week before B (which I will call “B-7"). The clerk punched the word “Void” into my old plastic license and handed me a paper temporary license which had an expiration date of about B+45 days. He said “You can keep your old license, but it is no longer valid; the temporary license is valid to drive until you receive your new plastic license.”

I got home and opened the renewal application on the Global Entry site, but was not able to get far, since I did not know the expiration date of my new license, nor was I sure it would have the same license number. I did not get far enough to pay the $100 fee.

I had several flights scheduled near my birthday. On B-1 I had a flight on Southwest. My boarding pass had the Pre-Check symbol, but the ID machine rejected my Global Entry card as an ID. The TSA staffer suggested that the Southwest ticket counter might be able to fix things. I went there and handed the Southwest agent my boarding pass and my Passport Card as an ID. The Southwest agent typed a few things and handed me a new boarding pass, which also had the Pre-Check symbol. I presented the new boarding pass to the same TSA agent at the ID machine in the Pre-Check line along with my Passport Card as an ID. It was accepted.

My guess is that when my old plastic license was canceled, perhaps that cancellation caused my Global Entry card to be cancelled, so the machine saw it as invalid.

On B, I flew on American, got the PreCheck symbol on my boarding pass, and had no trouble going through the PreCheck line using my Passpord Card as ID at ORD.

On about B+5, I flew on American at DCA. I did not get the PreCheck symbol. I spoke with an American ticket agent, who tried entering something on her terminal, but she was not able to generate a boarding pass with the PreCheck symbol.

When I arrived home, I discovered that my new plastic Driver License had arrived. Sunday May 1st I went to the Global Entry web site. It showed my status as “expired”, with no suggestion of any grace period, but when I started an application, it seemed to remember that I had briefly started the application a week or 10 days before. I completed the application and paid. My status then showed that I had a “renewal pending”. Early May 3, I had an email that my status had changed. I logged back on and saw that I was “Approved” with an expiration on B+6 years (not 5), with the same Known Traveler Number. To be clear, I was “Approved” and not “Conditionally Approved”, pending any sort of interview. I have not changed my home address or my employment during the five years that my original Global Entry was valid, which may have made my renewal application easy to evaluate.

UPDATE - exactly one week after I was notified that my application was approved, my new Global Entry card arrived in the mail, with the same picture as my first card.

Are we suppose to put our passport card in our GE profile? I never remembered seeing a spot for it and have both a passport book and card. I don't think I've ever used it, I just have it in my glovebox for a backup ID or in case I'm in Detroit and ever decide to make a last minute trip to Windsor I'll have it to get across the border
