Great to see you back Clipper110A! Do you have any more menus from South American routes in your collection, or some multi-sector flights? Hope you've still got some to share! Really love em...

Cover for the menu insert actually bears textile "swatch" of sample carpet type from Morocco...this one Tapis de Beni Bousbaa red and black geometric design...For this thread, I normally do not type the other languages that are on all the other menus (French ALWAYS on Pan Am, plus English and destination languages...alot of typing), but this one seemed incomplete without it...the ee cummings lack of capital letters directly from menu transcript, and of course, Arabic on facing page...flight was empty in F...service spectacular...

menus one of the best things to save...aside from memory of superb food and hopefully attentive crew, also gives a glimpse into company's self perceived identity in their choice of cover, textile design, typeface, etc...consider to start saving menus too

Anyone remembered when did Pan Am discontinue the Dining Lounge service in the upstairs lounge of the 747?

Flew the R-T-W PA002 from HKG-HND in the 1970's, late afternoon departure and was "invited" to the DL service upstairs instead of eating at your seat. The flight continued to HNL and LAX before turning around as PA001 to JFK via Asia, Middle East and Europe.

This thread has wasted my evening! I love it, and why did it take me eight years to discover it. I may have menus of business and first class on Sabena BRU-ORD in the mid 1980's,I was only a child but even then I got the taste for premium travel. I'll have to search my parents house, but I'm sure we kept all of our menus on Sabena.
