AKL must be one.

I am sure that by this time, YVR was a former non-stop destination.

AKL and YVR are both correct!

Five down, three to go.....

And BTW, I enjoyed your recent transpacific trip report....via marine vessel.

how about one in the South Pacific (Fiji - NAN) and two more on the mainland (SEA and SFO)

Hmm, I thought DC-10 service to YVR (Pub in the Sky) had ended nearly a decade earlier. I am going to add a further guess of BNE. Just seem to remember that.

SEA is incorrect.

However, NAN and SFO are correct!

Seven down, one to go.....and the remaining destination is a bit surprising as this particular airport never received much in the way of CO service.

Ah, BNE is incorrect....although MEL was served on a one stop basis at this time by CO with the DC-10.

And I'm pleased report that yard work operations have now been safely concluded for the day....and just in time as a tropical thundershower is now drifting in our direction. Time for a rum drink, I believe, as I have been given as a present a bottle of the stuff made in Guyana where the company I'm with is currently engaged in contract helicopter operations for a certain major oil & gas company. Looks like I will also be visiting down that way on business in the not so distant future, flying into GEO.

Back to the yard work report: the final act involved our trusty Stihl chainsaw as I had a request from a certain Lady K to trim the big hedge at the back of our property where it adjoins the local watercourse (lots of fish and turtles in there and it's rumoured there's an alligator in there somewhere as well, although I've never seen him...or her). Hopefully, the lady in my life will be pleased with my work when she gets back from her swim outing with the girls....and who knows: I might even get a little "nice-nice" (as they say here in south Louisiana) later this evening.....

Papeete, Tahiti.

Ah, PPT is an excellent guess.....however, it is incorrect as well....

So here's a hint: the remaining destination in question was located in the U.S.

You should try it taking long a few old OAGs and timetables. You'll have enough questions to keep us mused for the next decade.

hmmmmmm ... a U.S. destination that historically didn't have much CO service, but saw a D10 from HNL for awhile ... I can think of three possibilities
  1. ANC
  2. PDX
  3. SJC

As a former resident of both 2 and 3, I'm inclined to strike them based on the fact that Delta ran PDX and AA ran SJC at the time. CO would have been killed in either market.

I am not able to dispute 1, though.
