HA First Partner Awards Now Available

We just want to let everyone know that Hawaiian Airlines D class, the First award class for partner inventory, is now available in the Award & Upgrade search tool on ExpertFlyer.

I wanted to join the thread to add to the several prior requests for married segment alerts.

I can see how this is a bit complicated. However, EF is already able to search for flights in a way that gets the correct married segment availability data. Once EF receives a response, EF servers could check whether the desired class is available, then send the alert if it is available. Logic & data flow seems viable to me.

Would sure be handy! Hope this is still on the list of features being considered.

Just a thanks to Expert Flyer: I'm a new user that just got a hit on a Seat Alert. I quickly called the airline and moved Mrs and myself into our preferred seats. What a great platform you have!

New Cabin Option for Fare Information Search

We're happy to announce that today we released an often requested feature, Cabin selection for the Fare Information search. This means that searches which previously had more applicable fares then could be returned by the GDS can be limited to see more fares in the desired cabin.

A few notes:
- The Cabin associated with a fare is determined by the airlines, however it's not guaranteed that they file the fares into the correct cabins 100% of the time.
- For a few airlines, the Premium Economy and Premium First search options won't be available. There will be a message to note that if you encounter that situation.

ExpertFlyer deploys to corporate travel agency

High-Touch TMC Travelbusiness Automates Seat Alerts With ExpertFlyer. (Subscription required for full article)

In a nutshell: Travelbusiness is an early adopter of EF's agent version. "ExpertFlyer adapted the technology for the agency market..."
  • Great news for customers of this TMC.
  • Great news for the EF business.
  • Jury is out for the rest of us. Since great seats are a zero-sum game, I reckon we are worse off when more people are using EF and competing for the seats. If the investment enables EF to improve its service, I suppose we have some upside potential.

Thanks for posting the link. Don't worry, with the large amount of flights every day x 330+ days, in our analysis of the alert data we find very little overlap in Seat Alerts between users, including our agency customers. We have many travel agencies that have been using ExpertFlyer.com for a long time, the app just integrates into their workflow and makes the service easier to use for them.

But then so are customers, whether they prefer DIY or go through a TA. :)

What is the current situation regarding UA award inventory? I would like to subscribe to ExpertFlyer, but I read that UA award inventory is not supported or was not at some point. Thanks!

We are working to restore the information however we have nothing new to report at this time. When we have something new to share, we will do so.
