Check the wiki to learn more about EXP expanded award inventory, which is available ONLY by calling AA (it doesn't even show on AA.com).

Yes it sounds like EXP expanded inventory. Also make sure you are searching for AA upgrade inventory segment by segment, if you have connecting flights, as that is the correct way to search for non-EXP expanded AA upgrades.

So does that mean I need to call and ask AA for EXP expanded inventory sometimes if my upgrade is currently waitlisted?
When I called recently for a flight otherwise unavailable, the EXP agent found a seat but before that also clarified, "Is this for yourself?". So maybe that makes a difference, if an EXP is flying himself or buying for someone else. Not sure of that. |

My understanding is that as long as you are recognized as an EXP, that inventory would be available to you automatically.

Reporter Interview Request
Hi everyone. We have a request from a reporter that wants to talk to an EF member that has had success using Flight Alerts to secure an award. The reporter has a tight deadline, so please send an email to [email protected] by tonight with a way of contacting you if you are interested and we will forward it on to the reporter. Thank you for your help!

I hope so...
Basically is the upgrade availability from EF for non-EXP members??? Expanded award and upgrade inventory for EXPs is sometimes available on some flights. There is no guarantee when an EXP requests an award or upgrade that is not shown as available on EF that the EXP will get one by calling AA because they are EXP. My own experience on a variety of routes is less than 30%. YMMV. Given this, what is shown on EF for AA is valid for all AAdvantage members regardless of status. However, if nothing is shown as available and you are EXP then call AA, just don't expect the inventory to be available. If not, put yourself on a wait list and if/when inventory becomes available AA will execute the request - eventually, maybe. This is why I also set a Flight Alert on EF as well. I had a recent instance where an upgrade request I had wait listed with AA became available and was notified by EF before AA did the upgrade. So I called AA and requested the upgrade and got it as a result of the call. Would I have been upgraded anyway had I not called? Don't know and certainly didn't care to find out. |

Is it possible to include Query History?
Is it possible to include a few items from search history in each category?
That would be useful for queries that are interesting enough to be repeated a couple times, but perhaps not to be saved (or one just forgot to save). |

UA
UA will stop displaying revenue, award and upgrade seats tonight.
Will EF continue to display such info? |
