While ExpertFlyer provides unique services such as Flight and Seat Alerts, there are other websites that provide fare alerts. If you believe there are problems with the existing fare alert services, please send us an email at [email protected] and let us know how you think they can be improved upon.

I found plenty of sites that who would alert me when every single new economy fare (including junk airlines or airlines I couldn't care about) or lower price comes up on a citypair (farecompare, bing travel, lots of others). I also found sites where I can put specific flights and it will alert me when the cost for those specific flights drops below a threshold. However, I am still to find a service that will alert me on what I need, which is pretty much similar to the one of bingocallerb22: in his case, he wants to be alerted whenever there's a cheaper

What you can search for is all of the date ranges in the future that a given fare will be valid by using the Show Fares for All Travel Dates option on the Fare Information search (under Advanced Options). Just leave the Depart Date set at today and run the search. Hopefully that will give you the information that you are looking for.

The VAC passenger type has now been added to our Fare Information search. This is another ExpertFlyer exclusive feature.

Lately when searching flight availability for DL, I'm seeing tons of low fare inventory (E9, T9, U9, L9, ETC), but then a search on DL or Matrix gives back only higher inventory such as K, M, Q, etc. Is this an error or glitch, or can it be explained?
Using a specific example, I was checking availability on my SFO-MSP flight this Monday morning (DL1106), and it shows all classes with 9+ seats. When searching on Matrix or DL.com, it only shows M class. |

Did you check to see if a fare is published for the appropriate class using the Fare Info tool?
Could it be that those fares are available, but only with certain routing? For example a SFO-MSP-MCI might be bookable with T class fares, but not SFO-MSP? |

The only fare showing is M+ (when validating fares). Does this mean anything?

Any thoughts or info on these two related issues? (1) EF showing "Flight Cancelled," and (2) EF's "share" copying flight status as wide open when display shows it as cancelled?

I've not seen this before, but just now a flight search showed "Flight Cancelled" where the booking class availability usually goes. Did I just get lucky and catch a query just when AA updated its schedule, or do flights stay in the system for some period of time after being cancelled, or something else?
More oddly, the screen display shows "Flight Cancelled" but the "Share -> BBCode" shows it as x7 in all buckets (even P, which the other flights don't show). Results from ExpertFlyer.com Code:

Please send all search issues and bug reports to [email protected] so we don't miss them, thanks. |

The flight is canceled, the bug is in the Share Results function.

Thanks. I'm curious why and for how long a cancelled flight shows up in search results?
Ok, thanks. This one you have now, though, right?[/QUOTE] Yes, thanks. |
What is the code for Alaska Air coach award space? I was told in the Alaska forum that it was W. However, when I put that into an Expert Flyer search, it pulled up Choice award space, not Saver. I want to use Avios points and BA will only see award space at the Saver level.
Here is my query in the AS forum and the response to it. |

This is embarrassing. Still, confession is good for the soul. I set up the alert for 1 seat but was searching for 2 seats. There IS one seat available. Thank you to the person who ever so gently pointed this out to me by PM.

How am I supposed to interpret a response when a particular bucket is missing altogether?
Example: Yesterday, I searched for Z, U, and C availability on an AA flight and it showed Z6 U2 C4. Today it shows Z6 C4, with no mention of U. A few other flights explicitly say U0 but in this case U is simply missing. Should this be treated as "U0" or as "some bug, check later"? |
