You don't have to pay $.99 for alerts as Premium if you don't want to. You still get the same 30 alerts that's included with the Premium account. Previously, you couldn't use more then 30 at a time, now you can use more then 30 if you want by buying additional alerts. We didn't take away anything from the Premium account, we just added an additional option if needed.

Premium Subscription:
  • Premium Subscriptions still include up to 30 combined Active Flight and Seat Alerts.

What is the difference between new membership schemes in terms of flight and fare searches? I am not interested in alerts at all, so shall I go for free, basic, or premium?

Since the Free account only allows you to use Seat Alerts, the standard Basic/Premium subscriptions are what you should be looking at. Here is the features grid: http://www.expertflyer.com/frequent-flyer-programs

Hi there,

A couple of questions.

I am a first time user of EF and just out of curiosity I made a seat search on a flight I will take next February and the seat I have reserved on AA is showing as available (??).

Also how fast do you post subscription miles to AA? I need to reach elite status before their program change on 01/12.

I tried to find the Iphone app on Itunes Brazil and could not find it.

Is it available down here?

ExpertFlyer does not have an "app", per se. It does have a mobile version, however. Use the browser on your iPhone and go to m.expertflyer.com and it will load the mobile version optimized for the iPhone. You can then bookmark this to Add to Your Home Screen to have the icon for ExpertFlyer appear on your home screen any place you want to put it. Works great for me.

Hi mp1007, welcome to ExpertFlyer. You were probably looking at the wrong seat map, our AA seat map information is direct from AA so we know it's accurate. It's a mistake we've all made, if you need help please email us.

Thanks for the reply. I will recheck my query.

Then there is some reason either your phone isn't identifying as an iphone or there is a proxy server that is changing the request. Either way it would be more helpful if you could email us so we know who you are and then can better help you with your problem. The best thing you can do is click on the Contact Us link from the mobile version on your iPhone (https://www.expertflyer.com/mobile/contactUs.do) so we can see the information your phone is sending our servers.

We found out the issue was that you can configure jailbroken iPhones to identify themselves as a regular Mac and not an iPhone. If anyone else has this problem, just set the iPhone to identify itself as an iPhone and then it will work.

Just so everybody knows, UAFaker was active and causing the problem.

Unchecking solved the issue immediatly.

Dear EF,

Something is up with the availability showing on MU/China Eastern. It doesn't jive up with what's actually bookable. I do love EF though, so no complaints, just hoping this can be made more accurate.

Additionally, when and how can CI/China Airlines O class (Business Award) be made available through your tool?
