Sorry, I missed that. When do you think that LX awards will become available through this method? If the lack of availability for LX awards specific to the KVS tool, or would the same problem be there if I tried to get the information directly through the ANA web site?

I am afraid I do not currently have any info as to when LX award data may become available. It is also not currently accessible via the ANA website.

As it just so happens, we found a way to get LX award availability (O,I,X classes) on ExpertFlyer, more about it in the LX forum: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showt...52#post8677252 Enjoy.

I think it works for every *A carrier except LX, so you may add SK/TP/JP/OU/KF to the list.

Indeed -- I was just able to confirm this, and the list of supported *A carriers has now been updated to: AC/UA/US/LH/OS/SK/TP/LO/JK/BD/SQ/NZ/NH/OZ/TG/SA/JP/OU/KF

Which is right?
On US Air Nov 10th, CLT-SEA flt 1625, your tool says F4 but Seat Counter and GetThere are showing 9 or more. Should we be kissing an SP upgrade goodbye?

Both are correct -- as mentioned in the KVS Tool FAQ, "depending on the airline and the GDS system used, the maximum number can be one of the following: 9, 7, or 4.".

Must have chosen Sabre w/o realizing it. In any case, both are showing F9 again.

Long wait? Registration code

Hi,

I just registered with the KVS Availability tool, and I am eager to start using it. Does anyone know if it takes as long as 24 hrs after registration until I get my code? Or are there any chances of getting it within the hour?

Can I make a donation before I get my initial registration code, and the uograde to Platinum when the code is in my inbox? Or do I have to wait for the code, then donate and wait for another code?

Sorry if these questions have been posted and answered before; I could'nt find it.

Thanks in advance.

/Kopbjo
- eager :)

EileenSRN Nov 7, 2007 9:10 am

My renewal was within hours. I believe you can/should register and donate for the level you want.

Indeed, you can register for any desired level right away. Gold/Platinum-tier registrations are typically processed faster than 24 hours.

However, kopbjo, I was unable to locate a request for a Platinum registration under your username...

I just applied for the Lite version, as I thought I had to to so before upgrading to Platinum. Apparently, I was wrong ;)

Now I've donated - and hopefully done it the right way! :)

Cheers,

What am I doing wrong? I can never seem to bring up any seat maps. It always says the seat map is not supported for this cabin. I normally try and see it for TG flights in Biz. Can anyone else see them?

That bug in one of the Microsoft-provided components affected a very small number of users, mostly those who were using the Tablet PC functionality.

I was not able to determine that yet. If there is a specific fare, for which you know that a TPM deduction exists, pls let me know and I will try to look into it further.

You have to take into account what UA themselves is providing to their own members (showing in .bomb, possibly also SeatCounter, if they have access to UA's database), in stark contrast to the Star Alliance *award* availability, which United offers to *outside* partners, such as NH in this specific case, which is where KVS is linked to, in order to check for award availability.

This is exactly why certain airlines show availability in KVS (ANA Star Alliance award availability), but UA cannot get access to those seats, if the airlines are not providing United with those award seats.

Actually, no. It's UA, which is filtering-out StarNet availability for other carriers (to encourage their members to redeem on UA flights instead).
