Where does the KVS tool get its data and is KVS authorized to provide this data in the manner it is presented?

The tool is known to access a variety of web sites, many in a manner that is not authorized. Please see the next section of this Wiki for a list of sites believed to be accessed and their data access policies (where known).

Additionally, under some conditions the tool appears to access sites via a KVS-operated back end. This means that the tool is not just a 'web browser' that runs via a user's machine. No detailed public information is available about how this works or whether any of this back-end access is authorized.

One World Award JFK-HEL

Hello,

I'm trying to book a multi-leg AA award ticket from DFW to Moscow that includes a JFK-HEL leg on AY.

The tool is showing availability (I think); however, AA is saying there's no availability on this particular flight for these two dates I'm trying. Am I querying the tool incorrectly, or is AA incorrect (I've called back three times thinking the AAgent didn't know what they were doing)? Or is there some other reason why they show different availability than the tool? Any suggestions will be helpful. Thank you!

Thanks for checking. Does anyone have any tips with how to address this with AA? Three different AAgents have told me there's no availability. Do I tell them I'm checking myself using KVS/EF? Would they even know what I'm talking about?

No, they won't know what you're talking about and they can't confirm what Sabre won't let them confirm. I'm sure KVS will respond to you quickly.

In the meantime, have you asked AA to just check availability JFK-HEL and forget about the other segments? Sometimes other segments mess up point-to-point availability.

Looks like a possible connectivity issue between AY and its partners, as the [Awards/BA-OneWorld] Engine does not show those seats.

Thanks for the reply, KVS. I talked to two AAgents - they both said they can't do a long sell for award travel on AY.
:-(
Maybe the next step would be to call AY? Unfortunately their office is closed now, but I wonder if they would be any help.
Both AAgents also said it's possible that there is award availability, but only AY's FF members .... any merit to that?

For CX redemption with AS miles: I am really starting to think there is a big difference between what AS can book and what is available. This has happened to me multiple times and no matter who I talk to and how hard I try, AS can't see or book.

No, that is not the reason.
