I'll have another look on this Friday, but my impression based on talking with numerous TG staff is that the remaining lounges are all complete or nearly complete but that they won't be opened until after the first of the year.

I wrote a critical comment on the F lounge when i transitted HKG-BKK-CDG Nov 29. Very few staff around, no service, uncleaned toilets and showers (re-use a dirty towel from previous user?). My experience yesterday night was totally different. Many staff were constantly patroling the lounge to offer to refill glasses or provide food. Toilets cleaned instantly. Unfortunately the spa is not open, so no massage, not even massage chairs as in HKG lounge. No slumber (rest) area where you can strecth or take a nap. promised that they would be ready in January.

This has been my experience on both occassions recently in the F lounge. I also got a menu this time to chose fromm a selection of snacks which I didn't get last month.
Shame the Spa lounge wasn't open as I would have liked to check it out. It 'looks' all but finished.

I did not get a "snack menu" yesterday. Could be that they are periodically changing the hot dish offered and that they did not print a new one??; there was only wonton soup displayed, no other hot dish offered. On Nov 29 there was some maw-maw. Is there a wider selection of hot dishes (there are also some unattractive cheap sandwiches). Also, there was a dining section with tables set up, but it was closed. The only answer I go was that "it is closed". Anyone knows if it is ever open. Again, I have become a big fan of TG, and I hope that the lounge offering will quickly expand.

Good to see they are finally getting there with the lounges!
In a few days (before Jan 1 when others seem to be opening) we are transiting BKK from SYD, flying to Hanoi. Any idea which Terminal TG fly to Hanoi from, and whether the nearest lounge open has showers?

There is only one terminal at Suvarnabhumi. Perhaps you meant which concourse? In that case, I don't know, nor likely does TG until a few hours before the flight, but it doesn't really matter because when you get your boarding pass and see which gate, if it's a C gate , or D gate with a low number (1-4), then the lounge on Concourse C will be the closest with a shower. If your gate is E, F, G, or D with a high number (5+), then the lounge on Concourse E will be the closest with a shower. If you don't care about a shower, then you could use the lounge on Concourse D.

BKK lounge update
I was wondering if anyone who's been through BKK recently could provide a "lounge summary" - best lounge for food, drinks, relaxation, viewing aircraft, first/business etc
What about the massage service? Is that now only for first class pax?
Thanks

Unfortunately, there is no massage service for F pax in the new airport. The spa is not open and I doubt that it will open in the near future.

I am UA*S (34k in '06, now 30k in '07, I feel a bit jaded that in the past months I have earned *G, but United refuses to honor a rolling window) , I walked into the Lounge in the C Concourse with UA*G hand written on my ticket for the day. (I was an H Class passenger). They welcomed me cordially, no proof of the *G was requested. The lounge is very pleasant with many choices for drinks and food. The wireless internet was loopy and not all of the workstations have been hooked up yet.
The showers are very nice and cleaned throughly each use. I noticed the hot water runs out after 10 min, and do not use the provided razor, it eats your face.
I really think this is the best Biz / *G lounge I have visited.

A few impressions from domestic and int'l lounges at BKK this past week:
We spent a couple of hours early PM in the domestic lounge in A waiting for a BKK-KBV flight. It was packed and very warm when we entered due to HKT and CNX flights going out. After those left, lounge was virtually empty and cooled off quickly. Started rising again just before our flight as more people started arriving. Food selection was adequate even at the peak. Biggest downsides were the variable temp and rather hard furniture.
Int'l lounge (not F) in D was very early AM before the UA NRT flight. Lounge was quite empty. Furniture comfortable. Food selection was sparse -- similar to a UA RCC -- so that was disappointing. I assume that some earlier posts regarding this being crowded/warm faced similar situations to what we saw above in the domestic lounge with respect to several flights.
Overall, the lounges were fine.

Visitied Royal Silk Lounge in concourse D 2 weeks ago and it was no longer crowded at all around noon.
Visited TG F lounge yesterday and it was really good. Food selection is not bad especially dinner and supper selection. Just select the food from the menu or from the food display and the attendant will serve you.
All in all, TG lounges at BKK is now superior (IMHO) to the SilverKris lounge at SIN except maybe for food selection. The seating is so crowded at the C-side SIN SKL and the interior is looking quited dated. Hope SQ will refresh it soon.

TG F lounge is great.
If you check-in at BKK you will be escorted through immigration down the escalators to a waiting electric cart to bring you to the F lounge.
There are separate glassed rooms with sofas and a general area with very confortable armchairs and sofas.
Drinks and food is brought to you as much and as often as you like.
There is a menu for the food and if not on the menu, just ask they will do their best to get it for you.
Rest rooms are well separated from the main part of the lounge, are spacious and have all the amenities for a great shower.
I have not visited the spa area yet.
Free WiFi throughout and also plenty of power points for laptops, chargers etc.
One down point is that I have not seen one flight monitor but then if you are flying TG F the attendant will come and warn you at the start of the boarding of your flight. if the gate is far you will be driven to it if not it is a short walk.
Enjoy
