I could not see any photos uploaded onto Facebook on this lounge. Was it another media channel?

well well - it's finally open (well done TG!)
ROYAL ORCHID PRESTIGE (ROP) Lounge
Was prepared to walk to the SQ lounge but a manager I met last week recognized me & told me about the new lounge - it is connected to the regular lounge after J class immigration.
Something seemed off when I walked past the front desk/wine bar to check in - I noticed the row of tables and seats were gone but I didn't notice the new entrance (it's pretty small & inconspicuous)
The staff don't mention to the guests that it's open so I don't know how the others (who don't read FT) knew about it - it was not crowded at all when I visited
The "main" entrance of this lounge is right next to gate D4
I'd have liked this to be a Business class lounge for J class pax, and TG ROP Platinum members only but It's not and it's open to all.
It's gonna get very packed very soon when word gets out (hello, travel bloggers .. )
Some pics for now -

Ribbonzzz

Too many pics to upload, will save some for others to add
Some observations - (and no, I haven't read the posts from yesterday yet)
1. Split into 3 or 4 sections, in a long & narrow layout - "hot chefs" in the middle section (freshly prepared noodle dishes etc.) with self serve / buffet style counter tops scattered in each section, I guess - not sure how else to describe it (& I got to leave soon)
2. Lots of staff in the new lounge & they look very happy to be here ... they look proud of this new place & rightfully so, they should be - it's gorgeous
3. Noticed a new menu, roast beef that's still pink in the middle (though it's served at room temp. I guess to prevent it from over cooking) and grilled chicken with som tam Thai, for the 1st time in (my) TG lounge history (at least to me ...)
There's no champagne (of course not) but they do have Prosecco and for all you drinkers out there, the wine bar is no longer relegated to a corner of the lounge ^
4. I think there were 2 bathrooms + shower entrances in the lounge, everything looks & feels clean & brand new
- I just might pop back in later for a shower
5. Lastly let me leave you with the "fish tank" room (as my friend said when I showed him the pic) for F class pax (YAY ..) - u gotta see it to believe it

The Aquarium room
Overall, it's an awesome lounge, good effort on TG's part and finally, a lounge that all TG pax can enjoy, and not have to trek over to Concourse D/E for the other *A lounges - you know which ones I'm talking about! :-:

Wow, this was open on the 21st when I walked by on my way to the SQ lounge, and I completely missed the fact that it was the first day.
I had a six hour layover too...could have had the FT/blogger scoop

OMG! About time!
I think TG has a pretty good J class product now. Mostly excellent seats, reasonably good food, good service on board, and good IFE. This lounge tops it off. Well done TG!

I do not smoke either, but noticed it in the news earlier this year. Seems to have gone into effect on 3 February in six airports under AOT:
