I'm flying TG462 in early December and aircraft just changed to 777-200/300. Annoying they couldn't even keep the 77W with flat bed seats on the route.

Looking at early December it looks like the 461/462 is now daily 772/3 rather than the current 77W on 5 days. The 465/466 goes to 77W flat beds rather than the 747.

Not sure why should CASA make any public statement. TG's claims seem to be rather strange, one being that CASA claims no one was flying A350 to Australia as yet, so I suspect it only and only TG's problem.

However, if you are so keen, you may use FOI/RTI, ask CASA and post their response here

In THAI's website, it states that A350 will fly to Melbourne in Dec 2016 on both 461/462 and 465/466

https://www.thaiairways.com/en_TH/hi...e/A350XWB.page

However, Bangkok Post reports that THAI will use both A350s on Milan and Rome routes starting from 16 Nov 2016.

also Thai website shows A350 to Rome and Milan
However only 4-5 flights per week as 2 birds are not enough to fly to two European destinations daily. To Australian destinations it would be possible!

Thanks for the heads up! Any idea the equipment planned for use on the MEL route? The 0005 departure exBKK is currently flat beds, the 0810 angled. Plans to keep that?

According to Flight Radar (https://www.flightradar24.com/data/flights/tg465), last 4 departures for 465/466 were 772

Oh rats The TG site is still showing the 777-300 as scheduled to operate that flight on most days. Looks like they might be subbing it at last minute, unless there were some teething troubles at the beginning of the month.

I'm a pissed at getting TG'd again. I have a economy restricted flight in December that has been changed to 777-300. What's the chances of TG letting me cancel the booking because change of equipment?

The plan is for 465/466 to use 77B and 461/462 to use 77R. Naturally 77B much preferred

No chance. You booked flight, not equipment.
