I had a booking in F with UA Miles now I don't know to go with TG in C to SYD or OZ in C from ICN and not having to travel down to BKK because the CA option is too late for my trip

OZ uses an awful product ICN-SYD, a TG 77W would be vastly superior in hard product terms.

For all those changing flights, I received some information that there may be yet further changes on the SYD situation, I have no idea what they are but I was told give it another week.

What "MAY" be the other changes? It's gone for a 3 class to a 2 class mix of planes. It's not like TG is going to honor old F award tix that are now in J.

So far United sent the new itineraries all in J out of BKK

As is expected. I meant the F ground services ex-BKK for downgraded tickets.

"Awful"? Not any more - new interior planes, according to the Asiana website.

I just booked SYD-ICN-PEK both wys as did not want to take a chance on TG.

Anyway hope they re-consider SYD aircraft to go back to 3 cabin, as per posts above.

If they swap in a 3 class of course they will! UA (or whomever) has already PAID them for F.

According to expertflyer, ICN-SYD flights during the northern winter are operated with B772 with 2-3-2 non-flat seats.

No lie-flat Quadra Smartium seats.

If they do, they'll also need to open up O space since UA doesn't allow you to waitlist on partner flights.

Yes that is what you will fly on from ICN to Asia or SYD...I did not like it one bit flying ICN-BKK I couldn't wait to get off.

Seriously? You think they are going to make an announcement that has a major ripple effect through existing bookings, schedules, etc only to then nix it and then bring it back 2 months later? I know this is TG but c'mon dude...it's like a gate agent who mentioned how when a flight is cancelled there are so many pax who still sit and wait around and argue at the gate as though it's going to change something rather than get on the phone/to the lounge/somewhere to start adjusting plans.

I would still expect the 2-3-2 angle and be VERY pleasantly surprised if you get a QuadraSmartium. I've just never known them to have any of those planes on the OZ flights to Oz.
